The difference was iron got melt in front of sun and vaporised. The demons who have there bodies like a rock due to there living environment were smashed, melt and vporised by a hammer.
James who was fighting against night crawlers had his jaw wide open seeing his Dad's feats.

Then he looked towards his right side but wasn't able to see his arm. The arm wasn't there. He cried with loud which was heard throughout the battle field. Suddenly he felt gazes of someone. Someone was looking at him with the powerful intent to kill. Demon Lord of shadows was now terrified of something.
" Found you." Queen of Elenore summons another arrow.
