They couldn't even hold themselves up as they both kneeled so wearily. My knees quaked."Sang?" I called between my heavy breaths.

I swallowed, "Do something, please- just do anything. Get them out of here. Help them."
"Rue, I'm thinking. Don't act rash, I'm begging you."

I heard Sang sigh. "I'm not about to let you lose your parents damnit!"
Before he can retaliate, we heard the bang of a gun being fired. Obediently, we shut up.
"Before you do anything, do know that your precious persons here will pay for your actions."
"Where's Derek when we need him?" Sang whined.
