Ling Tianyou scrutinized Gu Ningyue, as if pondering the truth of her words: "Is that so? But I remember the perfume I prepared for you before didn't have this scent."
Gu Ningyue said, "Didn't I tell you? It's the scent that comes from mixing several perfumes. You don't like this scent?"
Ling Tianyou shook his head, still unsure why, but something seemed off.
"Alright, go wash up!"
After a while, Ling Tianyou released Gu Ningyue's hand.
Gu Ningyue sighed in relief, taking her things and walking into the bathroom.
Perhaps out of fear that Ling Tianyou would discover her injury, as soon as the bathroom door closed, Gu Ningyue began examining her wound in the mirror.
Thankfully, it was just slightly bruised; it should heal soon.
The swelling had completely subsided, but she would soon have to apply Shangguan Wuyue's ointment for the third time. If Ling Tianyou noticed, how would she explain it?
"Sigh..."
Gu Ningyue sighed, seemingly unable to think of an explanation.
