Elder Memu stepped forward.
At once, her three apprentices shifted from their large white Lycan forms into their human forms.
They were young men with long, straight black hair carefully tied back, each dressed in a long-sleeved white robe bearing the distinctive design worn by the High Seer's apprentices.
The clothing marked their position within the clan and set them apart from ordinary Lycans.
They followed closely behind their master.
"My Lord, Young Master Qi, it is a pleasure to welcome you both to our lair once again. It has been a long time."
Hei Bao inclined his head respectfully, a rare but genuine smile appearing on his face.
"Thank you for receiving us, Elder Memu."
Cheung Qi stepped forward and offered his hand.
"It really has been a long time. I'm glad to finally visit again. How have you been, Elder?"
Elder Memu smiled and gently shook his hand.
"Well, I'm still alive."
Cheung Qi couldn't help but chuckle at her dry response.
