Hei Bao let out a sigh.
"Very well. You may go. But drive responsibly."
He paused for a moment before adding,
"I've listened to enough complaints from your parents over the years."
His tone remained even, almost indifferent.
"I'd rather not receive another call because the two of you decided to turn the highway into a racetrack."
The two cousins guiltily looked away.
Hei Bao continued,
"I should have let the authorities suspend both of your licenses years ago."
His eyes briefly shifted toward Gou Feng.
"But A-Feng spoke on your behalf."
Gou Feng quietly lowered his head, saying nothing.
"So don't waste the trust he placed in you."
The cousins immediately shook their heads.
"We won't!"
"Thank you, Lord Bao!"
Huan Zhan quickly picked up Gou Feng's backpack from beside the seat and handed it through the front.
"Here, A-Feng."
Gou Feng accepted it with a small smile.
"Thanks."
Huan Zhan returned the smile.
"We'll message you later."
Gou Feng nodded.
"Drive safely."
