Chapter 2 - A hard question to answer

The first thing Jacob did when he woke up was close his eyes again. Ow that hurts he thought. Why is it so bright in here? he thought to himself. Because you haven't opened your eyes in six years dummy Replied Sicily. well no shit retorted Jacob. hey I was just trying to be helpful, said Sicily with obvious sarcasm. Sure you was replied Jacob. all of a sudden Jacob heard a door open, when he opened his eyes just a little he saw that it was a man Walking in with a Syringe filled with a clear liquid. That's the doctor who's going to poison you quick show him your awake!! said Sicily in a panicked voice. Immediately Jacob jumped out of bed and face planted on the ground. ow what the hell said Jacob. When Jacob jumped out of bed he startled the doctor who stepped back and had his eyes so wide that they would look big on a elephant. Wh-what the hell how are you awake? asked the doctor. umm I dont really know what's happening here doc could you help me up replied Jacob. oh yes of course sorry. the doctor put the syringe down on a little desk beside the door. and walked to Jacob and grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet. Immediately Jacob's legs began to wobble and he almost fell again, if it wasnt for the doctor who quickly wrapped his right arm around Jacob and supported most of his weight which kept him from falling. Jacob decided to play it safe and make everyone think he was clueless about what was happening. wha-whats happening Jacob stuttered how come I cant walk? all of these questions will be answered but I think your parents would like to talk to you. ok, Jacob agreed. Now let's get you to the living room where your parents are waiting. Alright, Jacob said. soon Jacob was sitting on the couch listening to his parents and doctor explain everything that happened to him. After about an hour or so Jacob held up his hands and said enough, I know enough. Doc can you tell me why I cant walk? Jacob said. yes of course the answer to this is simple it because you haven't stood up in six years. so naturally your legs muscles are to weak to support your weight and your body has forgotten how to work properly in some aspects. Ok jacob said. so what exactly happened? how come someone shot you? asked Jacob's dad as he leaned in and clasped his hands together. well umm... I kinda kicked a rock to hard while walking home from school and busted a passing cars window. oh exclaimed Jacob's mother Celia. so someone shot you because you accidentally busted their car window?!! exclaimed Jacob's father. Umm well yeah said Jacob. Did you happen to see who it was that shot you? yes but well I dont remember him very well, replied Jacob. ok honey Jacob's father turned to Celia and said call the cops. Ok said Celia as she got up to call the cops. Doc I think you can leave now said David who was Jacob's father. Oh ok said the doctor as he got up and left. then David stood up pulled Jacob to his feet and gave him a great big bear hug. Thank God you woke up Jacob we about killed you. we had no choice you see the doctor said you was in pain and was suffering, so after weeks of crying and trying to decide we finally decided it was best to release you. I understand replied Jacob. but dad could you let me go I can hardly breath said Jacob. oh yeah of course sorry son said David as he released his son from the hug whoa, holy, wow, said Jacob as he attempted to keep his balance and breath at the same time. then he just fell back onto the couch. ok Honey the cops are on their way said Celia as she stepped into the living room. ok thank you honey replied david as he got up and gave her a peck on her lips. Now Jacob theres something me and your Mom want to ask you said David. ok said Jacob.
