The next morning, Chi Ai woke up early.
She wasn't sure why, but she felt a little nervous. Maybe it was because Jun Yichen was acting so differently yesterday.
Or maybe it was because she finally stopped worrying about Su Xiang.
She picked out a simple outfit, just a light blue dress with white sneakers.
She didn't want to look like she was trying too hard, but she also didn't want to look bad.
At exactly 10 a.m., a car stopped outside her place.
She peeked through the window and saw Jun Yichen stepping out. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants, looking fresh and neat.
Chi Ai grabbed her purse and went outside.
Jun Yichen smiled when he saw her. "Good morning."
"Morning," Chi Ai replied.
He opened the car door for her like a gentleman. She hesitated for a second before getting in.
As they drove, Jun Yichen glanced at her a few times. "Did you eat breakfast?"
Chi Ai shook her head.
Jun Yichen sighed. "You always forget to eat."
"I was in a rush," Chi Ai mumbled.
