Chapter 7 - Stargate 3

It wasn't long before we made it to the old looking library that Merlin shielded off from the world, the young girl though was a ball of energy once I actually got her to speak though her shyness showed quite a bit the more we talked. She was a sweet girl it seemed, though from the show she seemed to have a quick crush on Mitchell, I wonder if that's why she is acting like this?

Something to think on I guess but not right now I think, too many pressing things to attend to. "So Valencia, what do you want to do with your life, where do you see yourself in a few years?" She looked curious and slightly confused, like her role was already certain or something. She didn't say anything though.

"Come my dear, I can see the warrior within you, your strong and can be even stronger if you just reach for it. You can be one of my warriors or knights if that's the term preferred." She just looked shocked at the thought though I could also see hope in her green eyes.

"To be a warrior…. Is the dream, though impossible, a woman won't be accepted amongst the knights." She was almost mumbling at the end.

I just put my hand on her shoulder and made her look me in the eyes. "I choose who will be one of my knights, nobody else. If you can prove yourself to be worthy you will be accepted as my personal guard if you wish it. Let someone disagree with that!" I tell her amused, I doubt many would dare at least not to my face. "We will practice together, once you beat the snot out of most of the other knights they will either accept you or hate you, either way you will stand beside me if that is your wish." I tell the girl strongly, whom looks so confused and undecided though I could see it in her eyes as they slowly hardened as she made her decision.

"I will serve you my lord, I will teach them that women can serve as well as any man!" The pretty green eyed girl told me fervently, her green eyes nearly shining with conviction. Not surprisingly considering she actually pulled the sword in the original series. She just needs a small nudge to be great as well as opportunities.

Well it's not like it matters anyways, I need minions and she and others would be useful as such. I'm mostly just hoping she is competent as one which I believe she will be once preconceived notions about the universe are thrown out such as magic and curses and all the other primitive crap. It will just take time.

2 years later

It didn't take very long to take charge as leader of this world. There was Camelot of course, but there were also a few dozen other smaller villages spread throughout the area within a 50 mile radius of the Stargate.

The population of this world was surprisingly small considering how long it has been settled, I would expect anywhere from a couple hundred thousand to a few million if this was earth. But I guess they keep the population slightly controlled or something because the population of the world based on my estimate on what I have seen and been told is probably under 40,000 people with only a few hundred warriors to draw from altogether.

I guess that's mostly because this is a fairly above average world on the peaceful scale. They didn't even have longbows or any real ranged weapons, only bows for hunting.

I fixed that quickly enough as while I had no interest in fighting anyone with arrows of any kind I figured a good crossbow could at least kill a Jaffa if aimed properly until I could find or make better weapons. It wasn't overly complicated really and eventually every knight was trained in their use and I even had a small ranged all female group that took over as crossbow women.

They were mostly younger and didn't enjoy the status quo and when word eventually got out(intentionally by me of course) there were a few dozen who travelled from all over. Some of course couldn't manage it as I also made sure they had some minor physical training as well so that they could keep up with the main group in case we had to move fast, the men got the same training of course.

Those that didn't make it decided to serve in other ways. They helped take care of camps and gear and the minutiae that moving a decently sized group entails such as supplies and anything else. It wasn't their ideal thing but they wanted to serve and I wouldn't turn them away as I wanted it seen that woman could fill roles in my army.

Toward the end of the second year I was kind of bored. I had in essence take over this world, I had increased its productivity by a good measure on most fronts, including proper sanitation, food production, though they didn't have any great needs, it would be good for trade later.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any signs of naquadah or any of those important metal groups on the planet so that was a bust.

I did eventually manage to deactivate and then reprogram the black knight to follow voice commands and now it would protect the village if it was ever attacked.

The treasure was put to good use to pay for the weapons and armor I wanted for my army as well as to pay and feed it. It didn't really cost anything, mostly provisions as this was basically a volunteer army of sorts, they WANTED to serve the person who pulled the legendary sword from the stone and who would soon go after the sangraal as well.

I was surprised to eventually learn that Valencia was already 17 as she looked young as hell already in the show, it makes me wonder what year it is on earth even more.

The last and most important thing I did in those two years was to actually go after the sangraal itself though I knew it was already destroyed, I wanted Merlin's labs and his molecular construction device, I could literally use all the knowledge in my brain to start creating things almost instantly as long as I knew how to build it, which I did have the blueprints for a great many interesting things so that was fine.

I had kept Valencia and a dozen guards close to me for the trek their but I already knew everything about it and what to expect. Having future knowledge is simply a hax.

The maze was the most annoying thing to go through honestly, I mostly just had everyone in my group gather rocks, they looked at me stupidly but complied quickly, they were shocked though when I started throwing them to find the entrance to the time dilation maze thingy. After I found the first path the rest went quickly.

Everything else only took a few seconds or minutes to get through each, I didn't need to panic as I simply already knew what to do to finish the tests.

I can admit seeing the dragon pop up nearly made me shit myself and the rest of my group were clearly terrified. I ignored it when I saw slightly yellow puddles near some peoples feet.

I was excited for the last part, trying to grab the 'sangraal' the second time after saying the password to turn off the dragon. It would be a horrifying waste of my time if we didn't get transported to Merlin's lab for some reason. Not to mention disappointing, but I worried for naught.

In a flash of light we were in an old room with torches blaring to life around us. I had everyone stay where they were as I tried to connect to the labs computer systems and it was interesting. I almost expected to be locked out or something but I wasn't, my first order was to keep Merlin in stasis no matter what as I didn't want him unfreezing when I used the Molecular constructor.

That ended up working which leads me to the present.

——————————————————

I was excited and it was probably pretty obvious by the amused grin Valencia was giving me. I just sighed and tried to calm myself. I was no longer even sure what to create. I need certain things to start any kind of tech base and that was resources.

The first thing I created were quick little satellites that could be recalled after scanning a few thousand miles around its launch point given a few hours to work, it wasn't overly big, just about a meter long and less than half as wide. It want the most advanced satellite I could build obviously, I just needed it to scan for minerals.

I launched it in this desert world as I had stopped us from changing locations every so often like they did in canon as there was no need.

While the satellite did its thing I did something that would have everyone from canon shit themselves, I made replicators, with all their safety protocols in place. They would be my resource gatherers and builders as it was basically their thing.

Sadly there was only a little bit of naquadah in the area but there was other things like iron and gold and all the mundane precious metals and even gems which I did take the time to have my replicators gather a good amount of. That took hours in of itself as I only created two dozen of them for the task as I didn't want to deplete the resources in the buffers too much and I still had much to create.

The next thing I created was a personal energy shield since I was the only one who was able to use it. I could have made it without the gene lock but no thank you.

I did of course make a dozen energy pistols that I gave a few settings for such as stun, kill and basically vaporize alongside their holsters, they were for the guards and myself just in case we actually ran into anyone though I would need to train them on their use, for now it was point and shoot and leave it on stun setting until I said otherwise.

Some other things were portable charging plates that could be used to recharge our pistols and other gear such as communication and anything else I decide to create.

I couldn't really help myself, I made my own version of the Kull armor as it was basically impervious to anything out there, though the helmet left much to be desired so I redesigned the whole suit to be more aesthetically pleasing to me. Goliath power armor from the expanse, though this armor was actually powered slightly as it would be too heavy otherwise unlike the regular Kull armor which while had technology it didn't add anything physically. I did keep the wrist auto canon though as I liked that from the original armor. I changed the colors from all black to whites and golds

I also made the original version for Valencia since she would travel with me more than anyone and bio locked it to her.

I made a basic anti gravity cart to carry supplies as I didn't intend to carry all this stuff by hand as well for simplicity.

Once everything was created so far I checked on the replicators and they had already finished gathering everything and placing it in the cave much to the wonder of my warriors and even Valencia. As there was a good amount of gold, silver, a few dozen pounds of naquadah and a small pile of different gems that I didn't really care about.

I only even collected the gold to pay for things for my men and women or to trade in the future. After that I recalled the satellite to the mouth of the cave and changed worlds again and again until there was a world with more abundant resources, it took a few tries but eventually there was pay dirt. I had let my replicators use the naquadah to make more of themselves on the first world so there was over a hundred now so things would move faster hopefully, I also gave them to command to replicate until there was 1,000 of them and then to start bringing resources back to the lab. And with that I continued what I was doing.

I did make a few hundred energy rifles for my army for future use as well as extra power clips for them as well as charging plates specifically for each weapon. To go with that I made small communication devices that that could basically reach anywhere in the same star system. I wanted little badges like Star Trek but those would be too small to reach the entire system so it had to be about the size of a hand held radio.

Once I was finished here I would restock the buffers slightly and then leave this place about like as I found it as I could simply have the replicators build anything I wanted including a molecular constructor if I desired one. The replicators can make anything that I program into them for the most part so I don't really need one but it would be nice to have.

The last things I made were the most advanced tablets that I could make. I did my best to make it comparable with what I remember of Earth technology of the late 90s or early 2000s but who knows if it will actually work until I try it. I wanted to download all the entertainment from orbit when such actually became a thing.

Though I did put some less advanced technology plans and blueprints on the device as well for future trade with whomever including power sources, and other basic technology that could match the parasites at their level during canon Stargate. FTL, weapons and such the likes. I wasn't sure when I would need it or if I ever would but it would be handy to have on paper so to speak that can be quickly traded.

The others that came with me to Merlin's lab were all posted around the place as I worked, though Valencia designated two individuals to place things off to the side as they were created at my behest and when I had made the hover cart they began loading things in their as neatly as they could. It was a good size, almost the size of a horse drawn wagon, though obviously mostly made out of steel and naquadah. Didn't want to waste naquadah on the body of the machine that I would rarely use again, probably anyways, I may give it to the town to use for trade and to carry goods.

Once I was finished and had to take a break as this machine takes a toll on the mind, Valencia approached me. "Was this the point of coming here in the first place? To find or make these items?" She asked curiously, in all these last two years I never really explained anything about the sangraal or Merlin, though she knew I had power, hell everyone knows I have some kinda powers as I heal people of minor woulda periodically, it was the main power I have as an Alteran. I can do minor telekinesis but not much.

"Yes." I tell her simply then sigh. I knew I would need to explain some what. "The Sangraal was destroyed by Morgan all those years ago but Merlin and the place he created, many wonders still existed. The machine you saw me use allows me to create any device or machine that I know how to make. For instance if you know how a crossbow works, the pieces you need to make one and how to put it together, you could use the device to creat one in seconds." I tried to simplify it as much as possible.

That's when I had an interesting idea. I can put specific knowledge in the machine and have it upload into someone else's mind kinda like Merlin did to Daniel Jackson…. That should work. It might not change her mindset but it would give her understanding. So with that I went back to work on the machine but this time I made a kind of data packet to be uploaded to the next user.

It would have the very basics of math, science and engineering, including how to work certain technology such as piloting a ship or even what the Kull armor can do and how it does it.

She simply gave me a look, raising an eyebrow at me as I began to work again though it only lasted a minute.

"Try the machine now, I commanded to to give you a basic understanding of the technology and science, your head will hurt and you may sleep right after so your mind can process everything but I believe it is safe as there isn't enough information to damage your mind." She just stared at me for a moment before walking to the machine. She trusted me a lot so she would do it.

I put my hand on her shoulder to catch her in case she fell. It only lasted but a few seconds, nowhere near as intense as what I went through and certainly not as bad as what Jack went through.

She simply stumbled back slightly as the machine retracted and used me as a support for a moment before standing up with her eyes closed. Probably processing the information.

"Well what do you think Valencia?" She just grimaced probably due to headache. "I find I understand much that I previously didn't and can some what put into context things you have spoken of in the past, though I'm sure much still eludes me.

I smile at my girl, she was awesome like that. "You should know how pretty much everything I created works, why don't you check things out? Maybe try on your armor?" I gave her a smile and she just grinned back. She knew what that monstrosity could do now and she loved it.

————————————————

I sighed once the replicators were done almost 2 days later. I'm glad we brought plenty of food and water because I didn't want to make multiple trips and I also wanted enough of the magic metals to actually build a basic ship with FTL capabilities. Maybe an enhanced puddle jumper? Oooh or maybe an enhanced Destiny shuttle?

We had plenty of naquadah, several tons at least, a little bit of trinium, a few hundred pounds at most, but only trace amounts of neutronium. Less than an ounce. It really was rare.

I had to make a second and third antigravity cart to haul our gains back to the Stargate, which I would dial to send us directly back to Camelot. I had already reset everything back to as it was before we got here, though I did also build a few dozen repair bots as well, they were magic on ships really especially the updated versions after destiny launched.

"I believe we are ready to go back home, let's get out of here!" I told them as I began to mentally shut everything down. They moved fast, though everything was already packed, all they had to do was lightly push and guide the grav carts as all they did was hover.

"We are ready Lord Alexander." I still couldn't get her to just call me Alex. Even after we were together for the first time intimately she wouldn't budge in public on protocol on such things though in private she would relax drastically. I'm pretty sure everyone and their mother knew we were together but nobody would say anything about it as we did keep everything private and it was speculation at best to them.

Probably wouldn't even if I married her, not that I was going for marriage or anything yet but anything is possible.

With that done I just nodded and we all made our way back to the gate where the replicators were all waiting, leaving a path for ourselves and our luggage to pass through before they would follow us through the gate.

I had admittedly made a decent sized manor near the Stargate as I didn't want to walk back and forth from the town and the gate though it's about a mile away from the Stargate still sitting on a hill where I can see both the gate as well as Camelot in the distance, being situated almost between the two. That's where we made our way towards.
