When I saw lisa walking away with toby my heart skipped a bit, I couldn't understand why she would take his side.
I was so pissed off i could crash down the car but I couldn't, I tried to ignore the feeling but it turned out she didn't bother to look at me.
I quickly entered my car to calm myself down, I didn't want to lose my control in front of people walking around.
Nora entered the car and grabbed my neck and kissed me even though I was reluctant but then she whispered that lisa was kissing simon.
I didn't bother to look so I kissed her back as soon as I was heading to her neck i pulled myself together and stopped for a second.
"Aren't you gonna push me away?" I asked curiously.
"Why would I do that after all you know how I feel about you?" She smiled.
"You know well that I don't feel the same yet you'll let me kiss you?"
"Mike i know you like lisa but what's the use if the feeling isn't mutual someone give us a chance" she pleaded with her eyes.
I knew she liked me since we were kids, but I don't think I'll like her like I do with lisa.
Now that her birthday is coming i have to seize my chance to have her as my mate no matter what it takes.
I drove back home after we left the beach, Nora went inside I didn't move.
I could still see how lisa came between us and the way she ignored me and walked away without looking back and continued walking.
I have to make sure that everything about her future was right, I drove to her house and I didn't know whether to go and see her or to leave.
After debating whether to see her or her aunt, I got out of the car and looked at lisa's room, the lights were out.
I was about to check whether she was home or not, knowing she was with simon earlier.
"Don't bother her after what you did to her" veronica said as she stood by the door.
"What do you mean after what i did?" I asked confused with her accusation.
"You know well what you did, you still don't get it lisa made her decision and here you are following her everywhere she goes"
"You know well that she hasn't made her final decision and the only time she will do it is on her birthday right?" I asked her knowing she was lying.
"As a future alpha you must be angry knowing she chose the other side right?"
"You surely know something, why not just tell me and let's not play the game anymore"
"Why? Are you getting tired already?"
"Am sure there's something you're hiding and you won't let me know so why not tell me already?"
"You need to have patience after all whats about to happen will eventually be the best for all our kinds"
"What are you talking about, you're not making any sense"
"Like I said Mike, time will tell all that's hidden from all of us"
Before I could ask for more,she closed the door and I stood there wondering what she meant about hidden stuff.
Knowing that veronica wouldn't tell me anything I decided to confront my mom.
I drove home on the way I saw a simon's car driving by and lisa was with him. I could feel a peng of jealousy seeing her smiling at him as they drove pass me.
I just stayed there not knowing if I drove back but I knew it won't change anything, I also had things to do so I drove home.
As I reached the drive way ,I saw Nora sitting outside on a poach waiting for me.
"Where did you go after you drop me here?" She asked standing up.
"I went back to see...
"To see lisa right? Why is it hard for you to understand that she made up her mind and you should give up" she said as she pointed at me.
"That's not true, you know that ?" I asked curiously.
"What are you talking about? You know she chose to be with simon so just let it go for God sake" she yelled at me
"No no and no am not giving up because I know the truth the only way yo find out is on her birthday and that's when I know who she going to choose" I said looking at Nora.
"You don't get to decide that Mike,you know how fate works, what's meant to be will be and none of us can stop it so just stop it "
I didn't understand why I have to let fate decide for me when I know what I want is lisa as my mate and ill wait till her birthday then ill make my move.
I walked past her and went inside leaving her on the poach as I walked in, I could feel someone behind me.
"Still not give up are you?" Mom said walking out of the dark.
"Why does everyone including you telling me to give up when I haven't lost any hope and am sure I won't anytime soon"
"Just like an alpha shouldn't give up hope but there are things that are beyond our control son and am just looking out for you and our pack" she placed her hand on my shoulder.
I turn around to look at her, she looked like she knew something and she's trying to make me back down.
Knowing how stubborn I am she just remained silent and she pat my cheek with teary eyes and walked away.
"Mom, wait there's something i need to ask and I hope you won't hide anything from me?" I asked hoping she would tell me.
"What is it son?"
"Is there something you are hiding something that is happening and you're hiding it from please just tell me" I pleaded.
"You will soon find out and when you do i hope you will do whatever it takes to protect your pack for what's coming"
"What are you talking about what going to happen?" I asked and she then vanished into the dark....
