The possessed Ryan hot to the castle. He walked in but there was no one in sight. In a building at the far end of the castle, he heard chatter. He opened the door and everyone turned to look at him.
"Gina, I see you found your place after all "
The possessed Ryan said.
"Rowen?"
Gina said and got down a flight of stairs. Rowen looked around he was surrounded by vampires.
"A vampire court, it is a lot smaller than I imagined," Rowen said just before Gina got to him. She grabbed his hand and tried to escort him out.
Before they could leave a vampire jumped down, and got in their way. Gina hissed at him and he quivered. He gained his confidence when others jumped down and joined him. They lunged at Rowen and Gina fought them off.
Rowen was watching when he felt something pierce his neck. He turned to see a vampire with blood dripping from her lips.
She smiled and Rowen smiled back. Immediately the smile on her disappeared. She fell to the ground and started convulsing.
"Yes, that was deadman's blood."
Rowena said and they all kept their distance.
"Stand down"
A commanding voice echoed across the room. The vampires made way for a woman who walked towards Rowen.
"Deadman, what do you want?"
A woman in a red dress asked.
"Judging by the authority you command. I assume you are the vampire queen," Rowen said.
"Sorry for budging in like this," Rowen bowed slightly.
"There are no queens here, call Elizabeth. Come, let's talk."
Veronica walked toward the door and it was opened for her. Rowen and Gina followed her.
She stopped all of a sudden.
"She stays," Elizabeth said and Gina stopped right in front of the door. Elisabeth and Rowen walked out the door.
Devin walked over to Gina.
"Rowen, who could have predicted?" he said in her ear and chuckled. He then walked out.
Meanwhile, Lawhey and Shoto fought Helton. Lawhey managed to cut through his vacuum rings. Shoto speared him into the ground and pounded his skull into mush.
They quickly made their way to the castle.
"Stay with Gina, I will look for Rowen,"
Shoto said when they got there. Shoto roamed the halls of the castle, searching for Rowen.
Miles away Pencil knelt by Kemi's body. She had been tracking them for months.
She was dressed in a long gown with a yashmak over her face. Hanging on her shoulder was a rifle. She said a prayer like the Ziona did for their dead.
She grabbed a palm full of sand and held it over Kemi's body. Slightly opening her arms she let the sand run through her fingers.
After she continued her journey.
In a room in the castle, Rowen and Elisabeth talked.
"I want Gina," Rowen said without hesitation.
"Sorry, but she is not mine to give. She belongs to her husband now," Elisabeth said, then rolled her eyes.
"You don't approve of their marriage?" Rowen asked and got up. He walked around the room. Stopping in front of a painting of Elizabeth.
"Gina told me about you. Dracula's bride from a noble to a vampire queen. But your people don't see you as a queen. Especially when Dracula went to sleep. Everyone is undermining your authority. I heard his son wants your throne. Of course, that was years ago. Things might be better now,"
Rowen said looking at the portrait.
"You have my answer, you are free to stay as long as you like," Elizabeth said and got up and walked out of the room.
Moments after she left a man walked into the room. Mirrors and glasses immediately began to freeze. Rowen turned to look at a pale man. His eyes were blood red, black strain hair swayed as he walked.
"The name is Alucard and I have a proposal. First of all, I want to show you something," Alucard said.
Like a diffusing smoke, he disappeared and appeared by Rowen. He then sniffed him.
"Fascinating, you are just perfect," Alucard said, and Rowen got up.
"Sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. Follow me I will explain," Alucard said and got up. As he walked towards the door Rowen followed him.
They walked down the halls until they got to a door.
"Welcome to the house of bastards," Alucard said as he pushed the door open. In the room were bodies of vampires. Lifeless bodies were scattered everywhere.
"What is the meaning of this?" Rowen asked, stepping over bodies.
"You see, my father defiled my mother and created me. He did not end there, he continued spreading his disease. I tried to destroy them but, his gene is strong. They are not dead you see, a drop of human blood and they would be up and about again. With your blood, I can eradicate his disease from the world," Alucard said.
Rowen looked at him and saw the hatred in his eyes. He knew he was telling the truth. Rowen stared at him for a while, then rolled his sleeves.
Alucard cut Rowen's wrist with his fingernail. He let Rowen's blood pour into a glass vase.
Hours later Rowen got out rolling down his sleeves to see Shoto.
"Let her live and we can walk out of here together. I would be by your side forever. It would be like before. You, me, kemi, and Pencil. We would be a family again,"
Shoto said and walked slowly towards him.
"Yeeah, no. Where would be the lesson? There should be consequences."
As they stood there Gina walked in.
