Chapter 14 - YAMA OF THE HELL

The clearing grew deathly silent as the man in the black coat stepped forward, his aura dark and suffocating like a shroud of cold smoke. His voice cut through the tense air, low and terrifying.

"Hello there. I am Yama. Yama from Hell."

Kall narrowed his eyes, unsure whether this was a warning or a threat.

"So... what...?" Kall said cautiously, keeping his guard up.

Yama let out a chilling laugh, the kind that seemed to drain warmth from the air. "What... are you deaf, boy? Yama—the one who takes souls without a whisper of warning. The one who claims the essence of life as easily as you breathe."

Kall felt a shiver, but it was quickly replaced by a grin. "Oh... is that so? So if I make you my servant, then I can take my opponents' souls without even telling them... right?"

"Right," Yama hissed, stepping closer. "But don't get cocky. Dream about that all you want, you moron, you lowlife. Think you can defeat them? Then you think you can beat me? You're dreaming."

Kall's grin sharpened into a snarl. "We'll see about that."

Without hesitation, Kall lunged forward, his fist blazing with raw energy. But before his strike could land, Yama's hand shot out, catching Kall's foot mid-air with a vice-like grip.

The true battle had begun.

---

Their clash was brutal and unrelenting—a whirlwind of raw physical power. Fists struck like hammer blows, bodies collided with bone-crushing force. The ground beneath them cracked and trembled. Both warriors began to bleed, their stamina pushed to the limits.

Breathing heavily, Yama spoke, voice rough but laced with grudging respect. "We can't end it like this... I was truly looking down on you."

"Likewise," Kall replied, wiping blood from his lips. "But I don't want to drag this on any longer. Let's finish it."

Yama's dark eyes flickered. "Fine. Use your unique skill. I will use mine."

Kall's eyes widened. "Unique skills? Ha... but I don't have any."

Yama's expression twisted in disbelief. "What do you mean? You just defeated countless spirits without using your skills."

Kall nodded slowly. "Yeah... let's see how many points I have left."

I've used so much energy, Kall thought, but I'm still standing.

Yama smirked. "You defeated so many spirits; surely you must be their master by now."

Kall raised an eyebrow. "What? I thought one could only have one sarvent."

Yama laughed darkly. "Who told you that? The spirits you beat become your sarvents. You should have a sarvent list now. All their names, all their powers. You can choose to command them all, or just some of them."

Kall's fists clenched, his eyes burning with determination. "So that's it. Then let's fight."

---

Kall focused, channeling every last bit of his remaining energy into his power bar. His veins pulsed, muscles tightening.

Yama, on the other hand, began to chant softly, his voice deep and ominous.

"Judgment... Dominion Expansion..."

The earth trembled violently, cracks spiderwebbing through the ground. From the earth erupted a colossal statue of a woman—her eyes covered by a blindfold of black cloth, a steelyard balanced in one hand, a hammer in the other. She radiated the solemnity of justice and the inexorability of fate.

The statue raised its hammer and steelyard, ready to strike.

Kall's heart raced.

I can't let her act, he thought. I have to strike first.

With speed honed by countless battles, Kall charged.

His mind echoed with lessons learned in the wars from level one: Attack before your opponent can act.

Yama was caught off guard.

Kall's fists struck rapidly—first to the vital point of the belly, then snapping the neck, and finally a crushing blow to Yama's face.

Before Yama could react or recover, he found himself sprawled helpless on the ground.

---

Kall looked down at his defeated foe, catching his breath. "Sorry, but I win. Now, you are mine."

He whispered the command, "List."

A shimmering holographic scroll appeared before Kall. Hundreds of thousands of spirits' names glowed in the air—one to eight-star spirits, their power waiting to be claimed.

Kall's eyes narrowed. The first name he selected was "Yama."

Then, with swift decisiveness, he scrolled through the list and chose ten more spirits, their powers pulsating in the hologram.

Suddenly, a sharp beep sounded.

"Mission Complete. You can now take your reward," a familiar voice announced—echoing from the same system that had greeted him after completing the first floor of the Hell Dungeon.

Kall's surroundings shifted, and he found himself inside a dimly lit room. Before him lay several objects: two skill books and an elemental seed.

---

The first book glowed faintly. Kall picked it up and read:

Skill: Shadow Lord

Description: Upon defeating an opponent, their shadow becomes yours. You can use it as a servant, possessing the same power they had at the time of defeat. The shadow can also evolve independently. This applies to humans, spirits, beasts, and monsters alike.

Kall's lips curled into a grin.

"This skill will be a game-changer."

Next, he reached for the elemental seed.

A prompt appeared on his mobile screen:

Choose your element:

Options scrolled by—Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning... and then one that caught his eye:

Space

Kall's finger hovered, then selected it without hesitation.

---

The seed pulsed, infusing Kall with an ethereal energy. Space—the element of void, distance, and the fabric between realities—was now his to command.

With this, I can manipulate space itself, Kall thought, a thrill coursing through him.

He exhaled deeply. "Alright, now... let's head back."

---

Stepping out of the reward room, Kall felt the familiar pulse of power flowing through his veins. His sarvent list shimmered at the edge of his vision. Yama and the ten others were now bound to him—ready to fight, ready to serve.

His journey in the Hell Dungeon was far from over. But with these new powers and allies, Kall felt ready to face whatever hellfire awaited him next.
