As hunter woke, Birds could be heard chirping.
"what a beautiful sound" hunter said half awake
The sun was shining throw a small gap in the curtains and could be seen lighting up a school uniform with a note attached to it, on the back of his reading chair.
Hunter slowly got up from his slumber picked up the note which read
* Morning sweetie hope you have a nice time at school last night me and your father went out and got you you're uniform for school hope it fits. PS DON'T BE LATE SCHOOL START 8:45- love mum xxx
Hunter looked at the time: 6:25
He knew his mum was at work she works from 6:00 to 13:00.
Walking down the hallway he could hear his father asleep in his room
"That's good, He's asleep" Hunter said with a grin
Hunter had a grin due to the fact his father don't let him drink blood only on special occasions or once a week to keep his strength up. This is due to hunter being half human and half vampire (daywalker) so he is able to eat human food but blood is like coffee for hunter it makes him feel awake, calm and relaxed.
Hunter slowly and quietly down into the lower chambers of the castle and went into his Fathers blood room.
The room was a clean, bright white tiles littered the room it was spotless and there was a single walk in fridge in the end of the room.
Hunter approached the door of the walk in fridge and opened the door walked to the cabinet and opened the door and picked up a blood bag and slit it and poured it into a class and drunk it.
Hunter could not help himself but reach for a second one.
"One should be enough, But go on son get another and get me one while you're at it." A voice from behind hunter startled him and he froze for a second but he recognised the voice it was the voice of his fathers.
After Hunter poured the classes of blood he anded one to his father.
"Don't tell your mother or she will kill us both despite our supernatural abilities she's crazy when mad I wouldn't like to be one to get in the middle to stop it again" Otis said almost looking traumatised.
"again?" replied hunter
"yes again"
"ok... you did not hear this ok but you remember your uncle Bruce. Before I met your mother me and Bruce was on a hunt and we came across these young women on a night out there was three of them, we stayed in the shadow's and followed them they walked on of them home then carried on walking, we thought this was the perfect opportunity for a feed."
"Did you get them?"
"Yes and no"
"What's dose that mean dad"
"It means we followed the women until they were out of sight and then when the time was right we struck, I was going to take lead but your uncle insisted I stay back, he said and I quote 'watch how a professional does things' he went up behind them and pushed one into a wall she fell down unconscious on the floor and went to grab the other when she slapped him over the head with her bag and continued to hit him over and over again almost like a pack of wolves was on him." he said as he sat down
"wow, what did u do dad" sitting opposite to his dad
"At first nothing, I just stood there amazed this is coming from a human, But eventually I ran up grabbed her pulled this amazing woman off of bruce and then pretend like I didn't know what happened and said 'excuse me miss what happened' she replied with 'this creep tried to assault us' she turned to look at her friend I had the sensation to bite her neck I was about to lean in to do so when she turned back around placed her hand on my chest looked me dead in the eye and said 'please help her' after that I no longer wanted to bite her but protect her." taking another sip from his glass
"So what did you do next?"
"Calm down hunter I'm getting to that part But I did exactly that I protected her bruce stood back up and went for the attack I stood in his path he tried to go around but a round house kicked him right in the back of the head he fell I picked up her friend and we both walked off leaving bruce there. We walked to a hospital where the doctors said she had a concussion and me and this woman started talking, She said her name was Emily and after we started talking and at night we started meeting up more and getting closer next thing I knew she was pregnant with you. When I found that out I had to come clean"
"come clean what do you mean" hunter was curious
"I told her that the person on the night we first met was my brother and he was not trying to rob them he was trying to kill and drink them because we are vampires, At first he thought I was joking until I proved it my cutting myself with my fangs and should her how fast I heal, To my amazement she was pretty calm with it she thought about it and accepted it and that's how we are here today"
"wow, I always wondered how did u guys meet and how a human acted normal with a vampire"
"well now you know, The only down side is she banned me from hunting so now I have to import my blood from the black market or from bruce."
As the both finished their drinks hunter looked at his watch.
Time: 7:57
"oh no i'm going to be late" Hunter jumped up
"you better go before you are and I won't stop your mother i'm much too afraid of that woman" Otis laughed after saying that.
Hunter sprinted to his room to get dressed and then got washed done his hair and left.
With his speed he would easily be able to get there on time but due to it being daylight people would see him so he ran through the woods to go as close as he could.
Once he emerged from the woods he slowed down to a pace of a fast human and kept running when all of a sudden a young girl about the same age as hunter walked out of a shop with her friends not looking where she was going.
*SMACK
She fell to the ground
Hunter helped her up made sure she was ok and apologised and to her friends they all accepted apart from the girl who he hit she was quite with her head up not looking or acknowledging hunter.
She was about 5'3 brown long hair with one braid on the side with brown eyes.
Hunter turned and looked at the girl staring to her right she was blonde with blue eyes also about 5'3 and said
"sorry again but all I know is its in this area but I don't know were it exactly is but i'm looking for number 3 High school?"
There were 12 high schools in this massive city and the were named 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 this was because at the end of each year they all compete against each other in all sort of events, English, maths, science, geography history, cooking, sports, languages and more.
"Follow us we go to that school, Ill take it its your first day right"
"That's right"
After that there was no convocation just silence apart from one of the girls whispering "He's quite cute." thinking hunter could not hear normally no but with his abilities, yes
Eventually the got to the gate
Hunter froze looking at the gate the girls kept walking apart from the blonde haired one
"It's ok to be nervous on your first day don't be shy when you're ready come on in, The bell is going to go soon."
Hunter thought "its not that i'm shy or nervous of people its because I hate school. the bell is going to go soon what is this a prison they tell me what to do when to eat it I would even be allowed to go toilet with out asking, Ha school ay defiantly more like prison."
she turned and took four steps before stopping and turning back around "Oh sorry I almost forgot my name is Amy Windfree, Whats yours?"
Hunter look her in the eye's and replied " Nice to meet you Amy, My name is Hunter Lavender."
She smiled and walked away hunter watched then looked back at the school but this time out loud "I'm not going to like it here...*sigh, I... hate school."
