Chapter 3 - Hidden truths

we are children of the dark, we honour the call of our master whenever wherever

the events that happened after Simon left the village would come to define a lot that would happen in his future, the loosening of mike's grace seal, the loosening of Gabriel's mental seal and Luca's deteriorating mental status that seemed would drive him to depravity, all these events would be the building foundation that would keep him safe for a while at least. The day Luca returned to from the stables, he had closed himself off from the public, closing the temple and embraced grief in its full form in the temple, he had cried, he had cursed the heavens and then cursed some more, yet strangely enough all no punishment befell him, soon enough when it seemed he had cried his tears dry, one eye started to drip of a black substance while the other dripped a substance with a deep crimson to it you would swear it was liquid rust. if Gab were here he would tell Luca that his grace reeked of depravity, death and blood. This by no means meant he was being cursed now nor did it mean his Grace was being corrupted now, no , it meant his grace had long been in that state before the seals were placed on him, like the other two a seal on his grace had loosened.

in a temple of light that had always been so bright as though to chase away even the faintest whiffs of darkness or you would be hard pressed to even spot a shadow, the black grace stuck out like a sore thumb, and for the first time since, well anyone could remember, a shadow was cast inside a temple of light, what this meant only time would tell, what Luca instinctively knew was that for his transgression against the heavens this little village would be wiped from existence, but surely if someone with grace even greater than mike at his peak intervened things would not be as bad. From his shadows grace as dark as a starless and moonless night surged to cover him whole, to be more precise looking at it felt as though it wanted to suck all the light from the surroundings, a world devoid of the light would please it more. from the darkness tendrils of red rose mixing in with the dark grace yet despite it being less in quantity it did not loose in presence as compared to the dark grace, the stench of blood permeated the whole temple mixing in with the stench of death and the coldness of depravity coloured the atmosphere grim, the was no question, this was not a power of a mortal nor should any mortal posses such power.

After a few minutes the grace receded like a tide back into Luca's shadow, soon even the shadow disappeared, if it was not for the striking difference on Luca's robes from their usual pristine white with golden white on all the linings to the now being a black that sucked you in if you looked too much at it with red linings that looked like blood would drip out with the slightest touch. his previously silver blonde hair was now dark as night, eyes that were sky blue mixed with silver and seemed to carry worlds and mysteries behind them were now dark seemingly carrying blackholes and wanting to devour worlds.

suddenly he stood on his feet from the all four position he had been in, confusion coloured his face for only a second only to shift a split second later replaced by an blissful expression, then rage then understanding, a moment later a black metal like pole the size of a sweeping broom formed on his hand, the pole was as dark as his clothes, with scribbles on it of an unknown language, the scribbles kept pulsing a bright blue colour as if the brightness was trying to escape from inside only for the black to come back suffocating it back in and the cycle continued on like that, the pole grew until it reached his Hight where upon it curved into a curved blade of deep crimson bordering on maroon or rust and the cycle of red and blue on a letter 'L' that was the only engraving on the blade continued to pulse on it, the weapon looked like what a death reaper would carry if ever there was such a thing, as the weapon finished forming the colour of his clothes seemed to drain into the weapon until his robes went back to pristine white and white gold and the weapon became unstable as if having lost what had been sustaining it, it was then that the insides of the temple pulsed with a golden light as though agitated by something and sensing its weakness, the weapon scattered into motes of black and red only to be burned by the golden light to a point where it seemed it never existed, the light rushed onto Luca as though trying to find the source of its nemesis to vanquish it only to find nothing, clearly whoever placed the seals on Luca was much more skilled, even though one of the seal had loosened it was still clearly hidden from heavens prying eyes, the golden light receded into the walls of the temple, Luca was left standing there but he was clearly no longer in grief, in-fact if on looked closely into his bright blue eyes, you would notice a bit of anticipation and longing, as if he could not wait for something or someone, in response to the receding light though he only snorted "coward", clearly this light had only waited until his grace was unstable for it to come attacking in 'fury', what was that if not the act of cowardice, it did not dare act when it looked like he had only a small portion of his power, he then turned leaving in strides, location unknown.

By the time Mike returned home night had already fallen, mike upon returning to his shack sat cross legged in meditation, this was the 1st time he was doing such a thing since he could remember, but this action just felt right, like its something he used to do maybe a bit too much, he wanted to focus on that blue energy that kept pulsing on his chest as if trying to escape from his heart or lungs but being blocked by some mysterious force that was energy but not quiet energy at the same time, at this time Gabriel's words were slotted at the back of his mind focusing on the task at hand. as his eyes closed the temperature in the entire village dropped, for the first time since anyone in the village could remember, it was cold, the kind of cold that slowly seeps into the flesh and slowly attacks the bone, even the harshest winters had never been this bad, Both the rich and the poor shook in their bed chambers and folded into fetal position in attempt to retain their body heat, the air froze and at some point trees began to ice over, at this point Gabriel who was sitting in a meditation position by the a small orange with bluish hues fire that seemed would burn endlessly no matter what, opened his eyes,

"is this mad man trying to destroy this place before everything is settled, the souls here cannot be sacrificed to just unlock your grace"

the strange fire slowly rose to the skies the bluish color slowly concentrating into a single point, beads of sweat accumulated on Gab's forehead as he seemed to struggle in his meditation, as the blue color separated from the orange flame it formed a small bead, if one looked closely at this bead you would see a gentle blue flame inside the the glass like dome that made the bead. the bead shot for Mike's shack and hovered above the shack for second before splitting into four sparks that embedded themselves into the four pillars of his shack, it was at that point that the cold that had been escaping from Mike's house started concentrating inside it, everything inside the house started to freeze some directly breaking and crumbling while mike himself smiled in comfort, he seemed to relax more as the cold became worse, his dark complexion turned caramel, his graying hair turned back to youthful black, it became rich and dense, the wrinkles on his face, started to fade at a visible pace, within minutes his face was that of a young man approaching his late twenties, if one looked underneath the robes he always wore, you would see a chiseled body that would put body builders to shame, two machetes formed from the biting cold, some of the blue sparks from the pillars were also absorbed into the machetes, to be specific pangas, they rested on his thighs, they looked like they were made of a colorless metal that looked like it had a blue swirls of energy that bordered on becoming liquid inside it. the edges of this pangas seemed to radiate an intense heat that seemed to want to burn everything in its path if it did not make way, the rest of the blade though seemed to radiate soo much cold that as though it wanted to freeze everything in place, even the fires of hell itself, would have no choice but to freeze and wink out of existence if this soo chose. truly the person who gave this flames and ice such personalities was arrogant beyond belief, as though having this thoughts himself, he opened his eyes and smiled a bit, holding the hilt of both pangas the robes he wore crumbled to nothing, the biting cold and the overwhelming heat radiating from the knives stopped as though their energy supply had been cut, as though on cue, blue pants formed from his waist down, they were loose, seemingly made to accommodate, stretching, then a robe equally blue color formed it had white stripes running from under the arms to the ankles, the robe seemed to tighten around the waist and then loosened again from there downwards. this man here was the epitome of elegance, his eyes were such a bright blue it was as though there was a light fighting to get out. he looked at himself in half satisfaction then nodded , as he was about to take a step outside he stopped , shaking his head and sighing the pangas disappeared forming a ball of energy then the clothes joined in forming his old attire, then his age went back to that of a middle age man, he left in strides location unknown, but just maybe the next time he appears he would not radiate such indifference.
