Three days passed, and Noah began to feel a bit knowledgeable about the nature of the Dark Continent. Although frustrating, Ponto proved useful for the purpose he had been sent. The man had in-depth knowledge of everything Noah had asked him.
From odd flora like the "Forest of twisting shadows," which was a large forest that featured vegetation possessed by a certain magical creature called "Shadow devourers."
These creatures were only capable of living through plants, and entire colonies would settle within plants and whole forests and begin to feed off of anything that wandered through the forest.
However, at night or day, all who had wandered through it noted that it appeared as if their shadows were distorted… or more plainly, twisting. Ponto had explained the phenomenon as a result of the shadow devourer's feasting on the person's mana after stepping into their domain.
