Pearl's bond to Alex let him know that Alex had opened the Soul Space again, but he couldn't figure out what he was doing. He waited for him to come talk, but Alex seemed to take his time.
Then, he saw a young cub come jumping down through the air, seemingly glowing with a golden light. He was immediately confused.
Was this what they called a Sun Wraith? But then, Sun Wraiths were supposed to be much larger than this, weren't they? His senses didn't tell him much about the cub at all.
He prepared for battle, just in case, but then Alex's voice came down to him.
"Stand down, Pearl!" Alex said. "The senior here is a friend."
With Alex's words in his mind, Pearl stopped. 'Senior?' he asked, the question flowing back to Alex through their bonds. He could not see why Alex would call something so young a senior.
"Don't do anything to offend him," Alex told Pearl. "He is a Primordial known as the Guardian Tiger. The same one the White Tigers descended from."
