Alex opened his eyes slowly, staring up from the bed he lay on.
His vision was slightly blurry, and he couldn't quite tell the figure that stood over him, besides the vaguely feminine shape to them. That, and the strange and subtle pink glow that exuded out of their body.
Like a hazy aura that thinned out at the edges, the pink glow turned into threads of wisps that seemed to vanish into nothing.
Alex narrowed his eyes further and blinked. His vision grew clearer, and the pink haze was gone.
He was looking at Bladedance.
"Can you hear me?" Bladedance asked as she waved her hand before his eyes.
Alex coughed slightly and slowly pushed himself off the ground as he stood up. "Yes, master. I can hear—"
Before he could finish his words, someone immediately grabbed onto him from the side, taking him into an embrace.
"Mother?"
