The Fire God tried to hold on to his Axiom for some time longer, and he also managed to... for a bit. However, its collapse was inevitable, and Alex could feel it in the way his Spiritual sea became freer and freer by the second.
It became weaker as the Fire God took in everything Alex said, with the nail in the coffin being the fact that he had learned the Dao right before him.
At that point, he could not even find it in himself to debate which side of the argument was true.
The truth was there for all to see. Including him.
And so, for the first time in perhaps ever, the Gods, Sages, Reverends, and members of the various cults watched as there came the destruction of a Celestial's Axiom right before their very eyes.
The Fire God staggered backwards, the massive Sun next to him pulsating for a moment as he nearly lost control over it. He quickly held himself up, however, and held the Sun up as well.
