Hey Guys Novaflame6_Badal here again. So i'd been mulling over an idea in my head and decided to see how the story would do. This story will have certain elements of Saint Seiya in it but the story takes place in the fairy tail universe. I wondered what may happen if another unknown but powerful guild had participated in the grand magic games? So the story will start from that point in the fairy tail story.
disclaimer- I don't own Fairy Tail or Saint Seiya, I only own the oc's!
Dragon's Dawn: A New Challenger
The atmosphere in the Fairy Tail inn was tense as Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy, and Elfman prepared for the Grand Magic Games. Wendy, their youngest member, was still missing, forcing the burly Elfman to take her place. The team steeled themselves for the first challenge: the Sky Labyrinth.
As they set off toward the floating maze, rumors circulated about a mysterious ninth guild joining the competition—an unknown power from western Fiore that had secured a last-minute entry into the prestigious tournament.
The Sky Labyrinth proved to be a grueling test. Team Natsu battled rival wizards, navigated bewildering pathways, and narrowly avoided plummeting to their deaths numerous times. When they finally reached the finish line, exhausted but triumphant, they were greeted by the pumpkin-headed mascot.
"Congratulations! You've made it to the end, kabo!" the mascot announced cheerfully.
"So, are we the first ones here?" Erza asked, her confidence unwavering.
The mascot hesitated. "Actually... you're the very last to make it here. You're the 9th to finish," he admitted.
Their faces fell in unison. Dead last? It was unthinkable! The team that had once been considered Fiore's strongest guild now found themselves at the bottom of the rankings. Dejected and exhausted, they returned to their inn to rest before the official opening ceremony the next day.
The coliseum erupted with excitement as thousands of fans filled the stands, eager to see their favorite guilds compete. Commentators Chapati and Yajima took their positions, ready to introduce the competing guilds.
"In 9th place, a guild that was thought of as the strongest seven years ago... Fairy Tail!" Chapati announced.
A chorus of boos rained down on Team Natsu as they entered the arena, their pride wounded but their determination unshaken.
The announcements continued through Quatro Cerberus in 8th, Blue Pegasus in 7th, Mermaid Heel in 6th, and Lamia Scale in 5th. Then came a shocking revelation:
"Coming in 4th place is... Fairy Tail B!"
Team Natsu gaped in astonishment as they spotted their guildmates—Gajeel, Juvia, Laxus, and others—entering the arena.
"What the?! Gajeel?! Juvia?! And you too, Laxus?!" Gray shouted in disbelief.
"Getting dead last, now that's just pathetic, Salamander," Gajeel taunted with a smirk.
"Shut up, metal head!" Natsu snapped back.
The atmosphere grew tense as Raven Tail was announced in 3rd place. Makarov, Fairy Tail's master, trembled with rage at the sight of his son's dark guild participating in an official tournament—especially after what they'd done to Wendy.
"Coming in second place is... one guild I'm sure needs no introduction... Sabertooth!"
The stadium shook with thunderous applause for the tournament favorites. But confusion quickly spread through the crowd. If Sabertooth was second, who had claimed first place?
Chapati cleared his throat nervously. "T-This is u-unbelievable, folks! Our 1st place guild is a newcomer to the games. They've never participated before! They're small but powerful. The ones who even the sky and sun bend their knee to... It's... Dragon's Dawn!"
Five imposing figures walked onto the field, their presence commanding immediate attention.
First came a red-haired young man with bandaged arms and piercing orange eyes, dressed in a dark robe-like garment. Next was a woman with black hair streaked with lightning-bolt patterns of yellow, her red eyes scanning the crowd impassively. The third was a solemn young man with black hair and red eyes, wearing a silver shirt beneath a dark turtleneck. Following him was a cheerful girl with fuchsia hair and golden eyes, dressed in emerald green and sky blue robes, adorned with wing earrings.
The final member, clearly their leader, had flaming orange hair and intense golden eyes that burned with purpose. He wore a black muscle shirt with gray sleeves and moved with the confidence of someone who feared nothing. He cast a contemptuous glance toward both Sabertooth and Raven Tail before stepping forward.
"Fairy Tail wizards," he announced in a clear voice that carried throughout the stadium, "I am Maxwell Dragonblade from the Dragon's Dawn Guild. Your friend, the Sky Dragon Slayer, will be just fine. We made sure that she got proper rest and nutrition. We now return her to you unharmed and perfectly healthy." He turned to his pink-haired companion. "Mist, if you would please."
The girl named Mist clapped her hands together as if in prayer, then spread them apart. A teal-colored portal materialized behind Team Natsu, and through it stepped Wendy, looking completely recovered and ready for battle.
The Fairy Tail members stared in amazement. Across the arena, Makarov caught the eye of Dragon Dawn's guild master, who offered nothing but a friendly smirk that suggested no debt was owed for this act of kindness.
As the ceremony continued, Erza pulled Wendy aside. "Tell us, Wendy, should we be wary of those five?"
Wendy nodded solemnly. "They're all really nice people, but yes. We should definitely be careful around them. I think out of all the guilds here in the GMG, Dragon's Dawn is by far the strongest. They're the ones we should worry about the most."
"So what you're saying is that all five of those guys are really strong?" Natsu asked, his eyes gleaming with anticipation for the challenge.
"I thought so," Erza added, her expression grave. "I felt their magic power a minute ago... It's much higher than anything I've ever felt before."
As the opening ceremony concluded, one question burned in everyone's minds: What was this mysterious new guild's purpose in entering the Grand Magic Games? And why did they seem to hold such animosity toward both Sabertooth and Raven Tail?
Only time would tell as the tournament unfolded, promising battles that would shake the very foundations of Fiore's magical world.
