Gao Han has been by the General's side for several years, from being an unknown underling to becoming the General's right-hand man. He must have accomplished many things to earn the General's favor.
Jabai also values Gao Han greatly and had repeatedly urged Gu Xia to rescue him, fearing for his safety.
"Dad, I'm full now, I won't go. You should have a good drink with Gao Han, but be careful not to let your wound get infected,"
pointing to his father's wound, Gu Xia reminded him.
"Haha, alright, I'll listen to my daughter."
"Where's Xiao Yu? Shouldn't Xiao Yu join us?" The General hadn't forgotten his son-in-law.
"No, Dad, I want to go with Xiao Xia to see her Wilderness Wolf. I heard she got it by tricking Uncle Gabai," Yu Xiuli smiled.
"Alright, then the two of you go."
And so, the five split off, Jabai and the General accompanied Gao Han for a drink and a chat.
Yu Xiuli then accompanied Gu Xia downstairs to the beast zone where the Wilderness Wolf was held.
