Those tiny cries tugged at Beatrice's heartstrings. The hesitation and doubt left her. She picked up her infant child and sat down beside the pallet Hella had made for it. Strangely enough, the baby instantly stopped. It shocked her in a pleasant way.
She sat down on the bed. She felt strong enough to finally lay eyes on her child for the second time. The first, had been rushed and she had lost so much blood. This time she would be able to look upon the miracle that was her and Beleth's child. A dull ache rested in her chest from thoughts of her family still not being together.
She shook it off and came back to the present. She gasped in sheer delight as she looked up on their child. There was no denying it. It had Beleth's coloring and her features. It was beautiful.
