Clancy looked down at the child who had just made her feel a barrage of emotions. Her life had felt like it was seen in seconds. All the good memories she had before the fever had taken both of her parents. She had felt loved and free and happy. A true happiness she had long forget existed. Not one out of duty or obligation, but purely as a human being loved for who they were and not the station they held.
"Clancy, please help us." Hella said once more.
Clancy felt like she should stand her ground and turn them away. She did not know if she could handle what may occur next. The child was special. She also knew this was a child born of pure love and light. That was why she was able to only see love. She knew the world could be cruel to innocence. She had watched it first hand with her life and then with Beatrice's. She had to make a decision. One she hoped would assuage everyone's wounds.
