Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Crimson Blessings

The scent of antiseptic burned Aren's nose as he paced outside the delivery room, his three-tomoe Sharingan unconsciously activated. Fifteen hours. Fifteen cursed hours of listening to Yumi's screams.

'This wasn't in any manga chapter,' he thought, nails digging crescents into his palms.

The midwife's head popped out. "Uchiha-sama, it's—"

Another scream cut her off.

"Twins! You have twins!"

Aren's knees buckled.

---

The infants lay swaddled in red Uchiha blankets, their unusual eyes already open.

Mouth dry, Aren leaned closer.

The left eye of each child bore a perfect three-tomoe Sharingan. But the right...

'That's not possible.'

Instead of the lavender circles he'd seen in manga, these irises swirled with crimson patterns—a perfect fusion of Sharingan and Rinnegan. The midwife chuckled nervously.

"Ah, the right eyes... perhaps a birth defect? Some Uchiha bloodlines manifest strangely when twins—"

"Normal Uchiha variations," Aren interrupted sharply, Sharingan pulsing. "You will report nothing unusual."

The genjutsu took hold before she could blink.

---

Moonlight filtered through the nursery window as Aren stood guard.

Kaito (the louder twin) reached chubby hands toward his face, red-on-red eyes gleaming. Ryuu (the quiet one) simply stared with unsettling focus.

'Rinnegan shouldn't be possible without...' His mind raced through possibilities:

1. Asura/Indra Reincarnation? (But Hagoromo's lineage died with Madara)

2. Ōtsutsuki Intervention? (No record of red Rinnegan)

3. My own failed experiments? (That chakra transfusion last year...)

A tiny hand gripped his finger. Kaito cooed, and for the first time, the Rinnegan's outer ring rotated.

Aren's blood turned to ice.

---

Fugaku's Mangekyou gleamed across the council table. "Twins with three-tomoe at birth? You expect us to believe this?"

Aren didn't flinch. "Check the birth records."

Old Lady Setsuna leaned in, her single tomoe scanning the infants. "The right eyes are... malformed Sharingan. A recessive trait." She sniffed. "Weak."

'Perfect.'

As the elders lost interest, Danzo's agent in the corner lingered just a second too long.

---

Deep in the night, two infant minds conversed in ways no sensor could detect.

[Kaito]

"J.A.R.V.I.S., run diagnostics. Why's my right eye got this weird—"

[Ryuu]

"Not J.A.R.V.I.S. And quiet. He's watching."

Through the crib bars, they watched Aren sharpen kunai with trembling hands.

[Kaito]

"Bat-brain, we gotta tell him about—"

[Ryuu]

"No. Not until we're stronger. Not until we can protect them."

Outside, a white snake slithered away into the grass.

---

Aren knelt before the Naka Shrine's hidden chamber, infants swaddled against his chest.

"Whatever you are," he whispered to the swirling tomoe and rinne patterns, "I swear upon the Uchiha name—no one will experiment on you like they did Orochimaru's victims."

His Sharingan reflected in their strange eyes as he made the seal.

"Kai!"

The ancient Uchiha barrier seals flared to life around their home. For the first time in years, the failed reincarnator felt true purpose.

---

In an ANBU blindspot, a Root agent noted: "Subject Aren's offspring show minimal chakra. Low priority."

At the Hokage Monument, Orochimaru's tongue flicked out. "Red eyes... how curious."

In the pure world, a mechanical voice echoed: "Reboot sequence initiated."

As dawn broke, Kaito accidentally set his blanket on fire with a sneeze.
