"Mommy! Mommy!"
Sitting on the sofa, swinging his little legs, Little Xiangru sprang up at the sight of Si Mingjing walking in from outside. He scampered toward Si Mingjing and stretched out his chubby little hands, excitedly exclaiming, "Hug, hug!"
Si Mingjing crouched down to let Little Xiangru successfully leap into her arms.
Little Xiangru hugged Si Mingjing's neck tightly, contentedly lifted by her, elated to the point of feeling like he could fly.
"Mommy! Mommy! I've called you so many times, and you didn't answer me; I was so upset! I almost died of anger, oh! You must comfort this fishy properly!"
"Mommy didn't ignore you."
Tears blurred Si Mingjing's eyes; her heart felt as tender as cotton candy.
Little Xiangru gently wiped the tears from Si Mingjing's eyes.
"Don't cry, Mommy. Little Xiangru doesn't blame you anymore; Little Xiangru knows Mommy loves me. Don't cry, don't cry."
All Si Mingjing could think of were memories of the past.
