Azrail chuckled lightly. "Funny how the higher we climb, the more we watch and the less we live."
Nayan tilted his head, curious. "Meaning?"
"I mean, look at this," Azrail gestured toward the sea of lights. "Every one of those dots is someone trying to live, fight, love, survive. And yet all we do is measure, track, and analyse them like they're numbers. The irony is, once they reach a certain level, they'll start doing the same to others."
"Control breeds control," Nayan murmured, a hint of respect in his voice. "You're beginning to sound crazy yourself, me so proud."
