The struggle between the new and old kings of the Undead is exceptionally fierce, often ending with the old king being devoured by the new one.
However, Ange and the Monarch share a relatively harmonious relationship. The Monarch has a fiercely protective nature, while Ange doesn't care about anything besides planting vegetables. Neither is interested in power, leaving no fundamental conflict between them.
If Ange encounters any trouble, given the Monarch's protective nature, he would certainly roll up his sleeves to help. But there's an awkward problem: Ange's strength far surpasses the Monarch's, creating a huge gap in energy levels between them.
Ange's mere projected avatar has an energy level not far from the Monarch's original body, so he can't be of much help and sometimes even benefits from Ange's perks, making him feel quite embarrassed as a Monarch.
