Our group has finally arrived in the forest, and immediately we know why it's called the monster forest. As soon as we entered a large slime challenged us and attempted to eat us, unfortunately for it we are experienced so we killed it almost instantly.
"Look!"
I hear one of my group members yell. I look over and see her pointing at a pack of dark wolves. We try to sneak away but one of my group members steps on a twig and a *snap* is heard across the area. We look back and see the dark wolves rushing towards us.
"Get ready!"
I say as I prepare for battle. The leader of the pack tries to swipe at me with its claws but I dodge to the left and slash it with my sword, but it's fast enough to avoid the full force of my strike so I only leave a shallow cut. It dashes towards another one of my party but I can't help since I'm now facing 2 other Dark wolves. I slash horizontally aiming to hit them both of them. one of them gets hit but the other leaps to the right. Taking its opportunity it swipes at me, and injures my right leg. Angered I slam my foot into its side. And it falls to the ground. Ending it with a stab through its head I look to my other party members, all facing their own Dark wolves.
I turn more to my left and see the leader dark wolf about to end my life with its fangs. I see no way to escape so I expect death.
1... 2... 3... but death doesn't come. I open my eyes and see the wolf being devoured alive by a giant black snake, with crimson scales and orange eyes.
Is this what being blessed by the Serpent Deity means?

After James left I've watched him with my snake minions. I have yet to figure out what the blessing does but I want to know what. He leaves the forest and seems to enter the village. I have other snakes in the village so I can still watch him, but I need to do so from cracks and holes so people don't try to kill my serpents. He enters a building and later comes out with a group of an elf, a girl, and a big guy wielding a war hammer. They leave the village and take a while travelling over plains and smaller forests until about 3 days in they reach a larger forest which from what Ive heard is a monster forest like my own, but even more infested. I soon see them completely erase a slimes existence. Then a bit further into the forest they encounter a large group of strange black furry beasts. That then attack them. After a bit of boring fighting I see James is about to be attacked and almost killed by the leader of those beasts. However before it's attack lands, A crimson snake kills the beast. Is that what my blessing does? That's good to know. A couple more of those snakes pop out of the forest and attack the furry beasts. With their leader dead the rest are killed of much easier. The snakes Luther away after eating the beasts. And James party continues. Eventually stumbling apon a wide cave. Which they enter after arguing for a bit. I follow them inside and soon notice with my snakes senses that they are not alone many monsters surround them. I try to warn them by telling my snake to attack one off the monsters than hiss loudly. It does and the party turns to it as fear strikes them now noticing the many monsters around. They try to run but the exit is now blocked by lizard monsters. I hope the blessing saves them but I only really care if James survives.
