In the dorm lit with bright light, like a hospital interior, Xixi breathed a sigh of relief as she looked at her laptop screen, which was displaying "SUBMITTED ASSIGNMENT PHY_1002 SUCCESSFULLY".
She turned back to look at her dorm mates, one of them flipping through the material for next sem and another munching on peanuts with headphones on.
She didn't have the best rapport with her roommates really. Closing the laptop, she decided to go to the cafeteria to catch a breather. With the last assignment submitted, she only had one pending quiz before wrapping this sem up.
"One cold coffee, please."
She swiped her student card.
"Xixi!" She turned around only to be greeted by a widely grinning Meyung.
"Hey!" Xixi gave a weak smile in return.
"You look…exhausted."
"Not as exhausted as I am." She chuckled at her own self deprecating joke, accepting the coffee from the counter.
"So? How many left still?"
"Assignments all done. Just this one Calc quiz left to catch up with."
