"Maddie, you are way too competitive!" Matt shouted. He did not know why he was stating a well-known fact.
"Of course I am, and you all are going to lose," She said before popping another one of the bright, flowy things.
"No, not if I have anything to say about that!" Matt said. He was just as competitive as Maddie and he would not let her win this.
Although his super strength and speed had been blocked, he could still jump very high. He quickly jumped in a row popping all the bright, flowy things in his way.
Annie laughed and shook her head. She was just trying to have some fun, unlike Maddie and Matt who were competitive, she was just fine with not winning.
Ollie seemed to think the same, they were both taking their time.
"What is in the powder?" she turned to Ollie as they jumped.
"It's just a light, powdery dust that enhances happiness and strength," Ollie replied popping one.
"Ahh, that's cool," Annie smiled.
"Mhmm, look at those two, they are really serious about this," He pointed at Maddie and Matt and laughed.
"Mhmm, they are the same in most things," Annie laughed. She took a break and fell on the ground and stayed there.
"All this jumping is making me tired," Ollie said as he sat down beside her. A little break would not cost them anything. After all, it was clear that Maddie and Matt were more likely to win with how aggressive they were playing.
"How come you are tired? Weren't you the one that suggested we play this game?" Annie chuckled as she and Ollie were seated while Maddie and Matt jumped around crazily popping the flowy things.
"I did, but I only suggested this game because I knew Maddie would like it," Ollie admitted. Both he and Annie got splashed by the powder from what Matt just popped.
"You think you are going to win Matty? No way!" Maddie said popping another.
"We'll see about that Maddie," Matt replied. The two of them were completely oblivious to the fact that Annie and Ollie had stopped playing.
"You were right about that, Maddie does love this game, both she and Matt do," Annie said and Ollie laughed.
"Definitely, well, I am sure that Maddie especially is bored of being in the library all day. I should tell the maids to prepare us some lunch," Ollie said. He knew that apart from winning, eating delicious food was what Maddie liked best.
"I agree with that," Annie said. "How much time is left?" she asked.
Matt and Maddie almost collided with each other, luckily Matt moved to the right before that could happen. "What where you are going Matty!" Maddie shouted as Matt ignored her and continued to jump.
"Well, two minutes, but that will pass by quickly," Ollie said and Annie nodded.
"You are so sloppy with your jumps, you are not to powerful now without your vampire powers," Maddie teased.
"Please, as if it makes any difference. I am still jumping way higher than you and moving way faster!" He replied.
"You forget that I did rock climbing and gymnastics, I am more agile, nimble and obviously more better looking!".
"As if that has anything to do with this!" Matt shouted as they nearly collided once more.
Annie nearly hissed as she saw how close they were to hitting each other. She could not wait for this game to end. Maddie and Matt were taking too far.
Luckily, before they knew it, the timer had reached zero and the little yellow bird rang out loudly.
Maddie and Matt fell to the ground. Maddie heaved as Matt did the same.
"I used too much energy trying to beat you," He said taking a deep breath.
"As you should, I am not just some sort of little person you can beat," Maddie replied.
"Well, you two seemed to have a lot of fun jumping around," Annie chuckled.
"Oh please Annie, what happened to the two of you? You just stopped playing," Maddie turned to Annie and Ollie.
"Well, I was tired, and you two seemed to be really enjoying the exercise," Annie said.
"The same reason for me," Ollie smiled.
"Of course, because I won.".
"Hey, you have not won yet Maddie, we don't know who won yet," Matt said, "Right Ollie?".
"Mhmm, we don't know yet, but we will know right now," Ollie said standing to his feet.
"Yes, let's see so I can prove Matt wrong!" Maddie said getting up.
Annie laughed, "You are not proving me wrong Maddie!" Matt got up.
Ollie laughed, he snapped his fingers and a bright orange and green exploded in the air.
"It's a tie," He said.
"Aww what?!" Maddie shouted.
"That can't be correct, right?" Matt asked.
"Nope, it's a tie alright, a tie, you both popped the same amount," Ollie said.
"This is so unfair blondie, this game is rigged, it is definitely rigged!" Annie laughed, she knew that this would be Maddie's reaction if she did not win.
"Hey, I mean at least I did not lose, that's something," Matt said quick to accept the results.
"The game is rigged, that's why you and Annie stopped playing blondie!" Maddie concluded.
"It's not rigged Maddie, not everything has to be rigged when you don't win," Annie frowned.
"Hey, it's not my fault I have excellence running through my veins, of course I am the best in everything I do. You just have to get better, you easily accept defeat," Maddie said haughtily.
Annie nearly rolled her eyes at her words. She knew that she did not truly mean it. Out of everyone present, she was not the type of person to easily accept defeat. If that was true, Azazel would not be bound right now, but she would not say that.
"Yeah, right, it's a tie, deal with it. I'm happy it's a tie because if Matt won, you would have demanded a rematch, and if you won, we would not hear the end of it," Annie said. Matt nodded, he agreed a hundred percent.
"Whatever, you all are annoying, I think I should change my class and hang out with more capable people that know my worth," Maddie scoffed.
"You don't want capable people, you want dumb people you can easily control," Matt said.
"Not true," Maddie said. "But then again, if they are so dumb that they need to be controlled, then I will gladly be their leader to make sure they go in the right path," Maddie said confidently.
"I'm not sure that you would be a good president or ruler," Matt said.
"We'll just have to see, maybe I will marry a king or something then kill him in order to take the throne from him," Maddie smiled.
"You can't be serious about that," Ollie said sounding a bit afraid. It was not fear, but worry that Maddie could say something so serious so casually.
"What do you think blondie?" she smiled sweetly at him.
"Well, which king would be enough of a fool to marry you," Matt laughed and so did Annie.
"Hey, don't talk to my friend like that... I am sure that there are many kings that would love to marry her... they only need to beware of her short temper," Annie chipped in.
"Hey, are you on my side or what?!" Maddie shoved her.
"I'm on your side, it's just that, I will certainly give the king a warning... after all, he might be smitten by your beauty, I just have to give him a wakeup call," Annie said.
"You all are annoying," Maddie said.
"Hey, I know you Maddie, being a princess or a queen is nice and all in name, but I know you well and being cooped up in a castle all day is not something you would like," Annie said.
"You like adventure, you don't like to be caged." Maddie nodded, she agreed so far.
"You love to be your own person and you don't like anyone to tell you what to do, so I don't think you would ever marry someone who would not let you be yourself and that's just fine with me," Annie smiled.
"Aww, you're so sweet, you are making me smile," Maddie said jumping on top of her and embracing her tightly.
"You're welcome, I hope that you will accept that it was a tie and I would definitely have beat you both if I tried," Annie joked.
"Yeah, right, anyway blondie, why have you been so quiet?" Maddie turned to Ollie.
"No reason, I'm just going to make sure I warn every prince I know, just in case..." Ollie said.
"Oh please, you can't be serious," Maddie laughed. Why did he actually look terrified.
"Well, you can never be too safe," Ollie said as she threw her shoe at him.
"Well that's new. Exactly why you can never be too safe," He said dodging the shoe and she scoffed.
