Holding Yamada Keiko in his arms, Chen Tang felt his heart settle back into his chest, his face softened with tenderness as he gently patted her back. "It's okay now, everything is over. I'm taking you away now..."
"No, I can't leave..."
At the mention of leaving, Yamada Keiko shuddered, her face changed instantly. Though she was extremely reluctant, she still broke free from Chen Tang's embrace.
Raising her hand to wipe away her tears, she forced a smile. "Master, Huizi is fine here. I don't want to leave. You should go quickly, and don't come looking for me again in the future..."
"What's going on?"
Chen Tang's figure jolted, his face suddenly turned somber. "Huizi, have you learned to deceive me now?"
With what he knew about Yamada Keiko, and her initial reaction of sheer joy, it was impossible for her to refuse Chen Tang if he wanted to take her away. So, something must be going on.
