The main house was made of bricks like material cause Adam was sure some one wouldn't make his house of bricks if he was rich. Coming closer to the building Adam could see two banners with the symbol of a phoenix on each side of the main entrance.
"Damn." Adam could help but say out loud. It wasn't everyday that a commoner 'like Adam' could visit a nobles house.
Elira wasn't paying attention to him at all but was lost in her thoughts. Just as the carriage stopped infront of the estate a few butlers and maids were already lined up on each side of the main entrance ready to welcome them. Adam couldn't help but get even more jealous of Elira and her family after seeing this.
' One day. Definitely one day' Adam vowed to himself.
When the carriage stopped Elira jumped out and walked in without saying anything to anyone or him. Adam also got off but just as he was about to call out to her a Butler of a tanned with a mustache, tight clothes on buffed body which seemed as if they would rip if he flexed just a lil bit and to easily intimidate anyone stepped infront of him.
"Esteemed guest, you must be tiered from your journey. Would you please follow me and rest a bit before meeting Lord Edward." the butler said and stretched his arm directing Adam to follow this way. This didn't feel like a request but more like a choice , the other being getting beaten up and captured before being presented infront of the LORD.
" Lead the way." Adam said. He didn't mind this treatment and followed easily.
The butler grinned and lead Adam to a guest room or a waiting area. The room was as big as the flat Adam was living in his previous life.
With red carpets and white walls and having golden engravings the room was quiet luxurious. There were a lot of paintings but Adam didn't care about them he just went and sat on a sofa and closed his eyes.
Was Adam thinking about something? NO
Was he tiered? NO
Was he acting cool? MAYBE
He just wanted to relax a bit in a spacious room, to get the feel of how being rich feels like or as was in his min 'how his future was gonna be after today'.
He waited for about 15 minutes or so and the door opened. He looked towards the door thinking a butler had come to take him to the lord but to his surprise it was a man wearing a white suit with trims of ember colour, that matched the ember cape hanging from one side of his shoulder. He had red fiery hair and red eyes.
It didn't take long for Adam to connect the genetic dots and he stood up to greet him but his mind was in a turmoil.
'FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK.... Look at he suit. Its the same as Ezio from ASSASSIN CREED BROTHERHOOD....FUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK HEESSSSS SOOOO COOLLLLLLL. I WANT ONE TOO.'
"Young child ?" the man said.
Adam realized that the person was standing 3 feet from him now and looking at him while Adam was looking at his dress.
He got out of his thoughts bowed and said "Sorry lord , Your dress was extremely unique and i just couldn't help but Admire it?"
"So dresses turn you on?" Adam herd this and lifted his face up. He saw the lord looking at him with narrowed eyes.
"No sir no its not like that I ..."
"HAHAHAHAH" before Adam could finish what he was saying the lord started to laugh and walked to a seat opposite to where Adam was sitting and sat down. " If you like it that much I'll gift you one." The lord said as he placed his elbows on the arm rest of the sofas.
Adam straightened his posture and said with stars shining in his eyes " Thank you, greatest lord of all time but could you make it black with purple highlights."
' Shameless bastard' the lord thought looking at Adam who had a big ass fkn smile on his face.
The lord also smirked a little at then said " I thought you had ulterior motives saving my daughter but you don't seem like one who schemes. Do you?"
Adam who was still standing lost his smile and with a serious expression looked at the lord.
" My only motive was money."
"So if my daughter didn't agree to your terms would you have left her?"
"..."
" Ease up a bit , have a seat..... bring us both tea." The lord said to the maid standing in the door who bowed and left right away.
" Child I would like to ask you a few question I hope you don't mind. Then you will be given what you're promised ." He said in a relaxed tone but Adam was sure if he fked this up he would die cause his life wasn't promised.
Adam just nodded
"Tell me why do you keep calling me lord."
"Huh?" Adam looked at the lord " Aren't you a noble?"
"Child This country doesn't have any titles except for King and Queen." The lord stopped talking and the maid entered serving him and Adam tea with biscuits.
Meanwhile Adam thought on it and realized there wasn't any nobility in this country. People with enough influence and power made households just like nobles except the responsibility to the lord. A perfect place for Adam indeed.
After she had left the lord continued " You are not from here are you and I wont probe in your background cause I owe you for saving my stupid daughter."
'Daughter? AHHHHHHHHHH...' Adam thought
" Why are you standing sit down and enjoy the tea." the lord said. He took a sip as well.
While Adam was sitting down he exclaimed " OHHH ! where are my manners I am Michael Blaze. The head of the house of Blaze."
"It's a pleasure to meet you sir. I'm Adam Drake a inspiring leader of the house of Drake." Adam said with the most honest smile he could have.
