The place seemed forsaken by the gods. The soil had a blackish charcoil-like appareance; while the sky was permanently covered by dark ash looking clouds. At first view, life never stepped on this lands, however, at any time one could hear countless steps lazily wandering by... But, what kind of creature could live in such an uninhabitable land like this?
The answer was simple: None.
It wouldn't be accurate if one say that someone or something ''lives'' in this place, because the creatures roaming around cannot be cosidered ''alive''
If one had the guts to enter in this desolate land and follow the sound of the steps, will find quickly with the spooky scene: A sea of corpses that lasts as far as the eye can see; but the most disturbing thing about this is that those corpses are still moving, wandering with no real destination, in this land that they had turn into their domain.
This is the Realm of the Undead
-----
Inside an underground cave, ''It'' was laying on the ground, with no signs of life... But suddenly ''It'' trembled; If someone had seen that movement, that person possibly would say to themselves ''No, that was just my imagination, I'm just seeing things'' but no, that movement was definitely and absolutely real.
After a few seconds, ''It'' started to move again, this time with spasms and also started slowly to stand up, when ''It'' was already on it's feet, started to roam lazily around... Seconds after, ''It'' found a tunnel that was oozing with a bizarre mist and going inside of that mist ''It'' join into a big ''herd'' of corpses that were only wandering in the deeps of that cave.
None of the corpses seemed to care about ''It'' joining the crowd, or maybe it would be more accurate to say that none of the corpses noticed, after all... ''It'' was another worn and decrepit carcass with nothing but bones.
From all of the bony remains that formed the herd, not even one of them seemed to had the most diminute trail of intelligence. One could say that they only moved because of inertia or maybe some remains of instinctive behavior; they just wandered from a place to another and ripped out any living being that had the bad fortune to enter in their domains.
Sure, ''It'' was no exception, because it's behavior was exactly the same as every member of the herd. ''It'' was just another corpse inside the herd... Or so it was supposed to...
