Hey there everyone, I hope you guys enjoyed last Chapter! Back with part 3 of this mini arc. It's come to my attention that Turuk needs more screen time as I've primarily have been giving it to Nova and Team Rwby. I will be thinking of ways to give him more screen time.
And concerning the plot hole with Nova being the only one of the two to lose his saiyan name, I was planning on explaining the reasoning for that in an upcoming chapter. I also apologize if the romance still feels rushed for some of you, I really can't do much about that. But as I explained earlier, Turuk and Yang's relationship will develop a little more slowly, right now it's more of a one sided infatuation/close friendship than a romance like Nova x Ruby.
Another mistake I made, was introducing Aiko from seemingly out of nowhere according to some of you. I do apologize for that, as it wasn't thought through carefully on my part. The point about the saiyans knowing Ki suddenly, well.. I figured they would discover they had it eventually as they grew. There are points in the story I can't really fix at this point, so I do apologize for that. If some of you feel like you can no longer read this story because of plotholes or character development, or any other issue mentioned or unmentioned.. I don't blame you. My style of writing isn't for everyone and there are more talented writers on this site than myself if you feel like reading their works instead.
Those of you who like my story, despite it's flaws, I really appreciate it. I will do my best to make the story better for you guys. I'm only sticking close to rwby cannon for a little while longer. Volume 4 will go in a little bit of a different direction. Main parts of the cannon story will be there, it just won't be as close to the main story of Rwby as it currently is.
Anyways that's all I wanted to say for now, onto the story!

Chapter 20: Lost Heritage III- Against Lord Slug
The Evil Namekian smirked at what he saw in front of him, two human females, and two saiyan males from the looks of it. This would be rather interesting, it was 4 vs 1. The two humans, he felt as though could easily enough. When it came to the pair of saiyans though, they would be a little more challenging to fight off. Saiyans were known as a warrior race for a reason, they weren't slouches when it came to combat. He was on a time limit, his partner wouldn't wait around forever. That did grate on his nerves a little bit, he just just needed to finish this quickly before his partner even got a chance to interrupt his fight.
The human females had some... rather interesting gadgets on their person however. He figured, they were weapons of some sort. Though, he couldn't figure out what kind of gizmos they were.
"What are those odd things inside the weapons? They're different colors... hm.. interesting...," The Namekian thought.
The evil Namekian then smiled to himself before sliding into a martial arts stance. Turuk seemed to recognize this ashe felt the namekian's ki building up. He eyed the man warily. He didn't have much time to think about what to do because of Slug rocketing towards the group, following a brief pause. The namekian's burst of speed surprised Yang and the others before turuk got their attention.
"Spread out, quick!," Turuk shouted to them.
Yang and the others nodded before doing as instructed. The teens moved just before Slug brought his fist down upon the spot they previously occupied, narrowly dodging getting flattened by the blow. Slug's fist impacted the ground causing it to crack and give way to a huge crater where the group stood only milliseconds before. The namekian pulled his fist out of the ground with a look of intrigue on his face.
That was the first time anyone was fast enough to dodge that attack. This fight may not be as boring as he initially thought, not if they could keep him entertained like this. The girls looked at the spot they were previously in with slightly horrified looks on the faces.
"Had we stood there any longer...," Weiss started.
"Yeah, we would be flat as a pancake. It's a good thing we moved when we did.," Daikon said finishing the heiress' thought.
She gave him a look.
"💢How can you be so calm about this? We were nearly killed by a lunatic!," Weiss asked looking at Daikon incredulously.
"Well we weren't, were we princess?," Daikon asked.
She made a face at him but then relented and sighed. For whatever reason she just couldn't stay mad at him. She'd let it slide... this time at least, but only because they were in a life or death situation right now.
"💢You- ugh, nevermind! Let's just focus on surviving this!," Weiss said angered but then relented.
The heiress then readied her rapier, with Daikon slipping into his own martial arts stance next to her. After breathing in a short breath, Weiss leapt into action.
Looking to his left, the namekian saw that the Shcnee was the first to come at him. Using her rapier, Mytenastr, Weiss formed glyphs in which she used to hurl shards of ice at the villain. The namekian just smirked at this as he simply opened his palm and blasted the ice with his ki. The shards of ice exploded upon contact with the ki blasts, this created a smoke screen due to the smoke from the explosions.
Yang came in and took Slug by surprise as she blindsided him with her gauntlets. He dodged her hits before realizing she'd gotten up close to him. Slug realized too late though as Yang fired off her shotgun gauntlets point blank at him. He dug his heels into the ground after the impact, creating a mini trench upon skidding to a halt. His stomach was left smoldering from the fire dust rounds he took to the gut, one could see the burn marks from it.
Slug moved his neck like he was removing a kink in it. Shortly after, he grinned evilly as his ki burst to life around him once more. He shot off like a rocket towards the teens after righting himself. However as he neared the group, he was again stopped by Yang's fist meeting his own. That should have been impossible though, no mere human could ever match a saiyan's physical strength.
He so surprised by this that he never saw Weiss come in from the side to deliver a few blows of her own to his stomach. He felt his gut light up in pain as he began to become rather annoyed.
"You little brats! DON'T PRESS YOUR LUCK, YOU ANTS!," Slug screamed as he flexed his ki to blow away both of the girls.
While Weiss was sent flying, Yang skidded to a halt as she held her arms in an "x" shape to block the blow. Slug was mildly amused at this. She not only prevented herself from being sent flying, Yang merely skid back a bit from it.
"To think a human girl is holding her ground against me, is somewhat remarkable.,"Slug thought .
While he was amused by it, slug was also annoyed by the fact Yang had been holding her own against him.
The blonde stood back up to her feet as she readied herself for another attack from Slug. A moment later Yang took off towards slug in a surprising burst of speed, slug had to put up his defense again to counter Yang's blows.
One of the blonde brawler's blows came faster than he anticipated as he was sent flying through a few trees and into a Boulder. The boulder cracked and shattered, burying him in rubble. After this, Yang was wide eyed and stared at her fist shocked at what she did.
"What the?! D-Did I.. do that? Since when could I-?," Yang began before trailing off as the realization if what she did was settling in.
Weiss was shocked at what she saw from Yang, but tried remaining as calm as she could. She was trying not to let the shock show on her face, that would be less than ideal. She cleared her throat as she spoke up.
"Well then Yang, I thank you for the help just then. Though I do have to ask, where exactly have you been hiding this monster strength of yours all this time?," Weiss asked.
Yang looked back to her equally as confused, unsure as to how she suddenly had this "monster strength" as Weiss put it.
"To be honest Weiss... I don't know. Would you believe me if I said that I really don't know where this strength is coming from or rather... why I suddenly have it?," Yang replied.
"So what you're saying is that you really don't know how or why you're so strong all of a sudden?," Weiss asked.
Yang nodded.
If she was being honest, Yang had absolutely no idea where this power came from. She was just really angry after seeing Weiss get blown back by slug. When she got angry it felt like some unknown power that she never knew she had came surging into her being, allowing her to keep up with slug when she couldn't before. It... felt similar to the power Nova, Turuk, and Daikon had. But the last time she checked, she was still 100% human. So just what in the name of Remnant was going on here?!
Slug burst out of the rubble, drawing attention to himself after he got up. This blonde haired girl kept on surprising him, but now it was time to get serious.
"I don't know what the deal is with that blonde haired girl, but seems I've been playing around too long. It's about time I was actually serious about killing these brats!," Slug thought to himself.
Besides, he needed to hurry. He knew a certain... associate of his wouldn't wait for too much longer. He had to finish this quickly. He balled his hands into fists as his power burst forth. The ground shook again, cracks forming beneath him.
The ground beneath Slug began to sink into a crater as the namekian continued to release his power and killing intent towards the teens. The teens seemed to recognize his growing power as they steeled themselves for an even more difficult fight. Before Yang, Weiss, and Daikon could prepare themselves for a fight with Slug.. a blur of white zipped past them. It was revealed to be Turuk, who had met Slug head on. He was seen wrestling for dominance with the namekian as the two were pushing against each other with their ki bursting to life wildly around them.
Slug was physically stronger than Turuk initially thought, so the struggle became a deadlock. The dark saiyan teen grit his teeth as he summoned more of his ki that burst to life around him. Both fighter's ki burst forth surrounding them as they continued pushing against each other, the ground continued to shake as a result. The entire area was shaking, due to their power. Debris began lift into the sky the longer the saiyan and namekian struggled against each other. Another crater was forming beneath them as they sank with the ground, the others moved to safety so they wouldn't be pulled into the massive vacuum of power.
The two finally pushed away from each other, as Turuk kicked Slug in the face while the namekian punched the saiyan in the gut. Both coughed up saliva as their respective blows connected. While Slug was still reeling from the saiyan's blow, Yang got the jump on him and fired a flurry of shots from her gauntlets at point blank range. His defense was down so the blows actually hurt him a bit, as well as burned him. Turuk then came in batted him aside as the namekian went after Yang by slashing at him with his ki blade. The exchange resulted in Slug having a large X shaped gash on his chest.
The namekian grit his teeth in frustration at this. How was that Blonde haired human hurting him so much? The saiyan he could understand, but a mere human causing him the amount of damage he had received from her? It was maddening. Sure, this girl was strong, but... that shouldn't allow her to harm him as much as she was. Unless...
He thought about it, and came to a conclusion. After all, it was the only thing that made any sort of sense. This girl, wasn't aware that she was using Ki.. was she? If she was using Ki.without realizing it, that'd explain why she was hurting him so much. It was the only explanation that made any sense. He had to test that theory now. Slug had a sneaking suspicion about this girl, but.. he had to be sure first. He didn't want to jump to any conclusions.
Before he could though, another ki blast from seemingly out of nowhere was speeding towards Yang. Turuk snap vanished and batted it into the distance before it exploded upon hitting a mountain. Clapping was heard as a tall figure with tanned skin and donned in dark armor was seen. He had black hair shaped like a palm tree, black eyes, and a brown monkey tail. He landed in front of slug as he spoke.
"Having trouble with some kids, Slug? You're losing your touch. A group of students like this should be no problem for you, or am I wrong?," The newcomer asked.
Slug just glared at at the newcomer, his voice laced with obvious vitriol.
"Turles! What are you doing here so early?! I thought we agreed to let me have some fun with them for a while first!," Slug snapped at him.
He chuckled at the misery of his associate as he spoke.
"Oh? Did we agree on that? I can't remember. Besides, I was getting rather bored just waiting around for my turn. Besides... How are you having so much trouble against kids who should be beneath you in power?," Turles replied with a smug look on his face.
Slug felt a vein in his head was about to pop at this. How dare he! This uppity, arrogant saiyan would learn his lesson... even if he had to beat it into his thick skull!
"💢💢💢 It's because of THAT blonde girl and the saiyan next to her that I'm in this state!," Slug said gritting his teeth in anger and annoyance.
Turles looked at the direction the namekian pointed to and raised an eyebrow.
"The saiyan I can understand but the girl shouldn't-," Turles started before realizing something.
He then chuckled.
"Ah... I stand corrected, Slug. If you think this girl is just a normal human, therein lies your problem.," Turles said correcting himself.
"What do you mean by that?," Slug asked confused.
"That girl, believe it or not, is tapping into power beyond that of a human. By doing this, her blood has begun to change to match that of the person whose powers she's attempting to emulate.," Turles explained.
Slug raised an eyebrow, curious about this. He was confused. Was Turles saying this blonde haired girl wasn't even human? But.. how was that even possible? Last he checked, humans couldn't just all of a sudden transform into another race. There were exceptions, such as humans with special blood could turn quicker, but that was extremely rare!
"Surely you're not suggesting that this girl is-," Slug began before being interrupted by Turles.
Turles smirked and then grinned darkly as he answered the namekian's unfinished question.
"Yes, that's exactly what I'm suggesting you pig brained nincompoop! Whether this girl realizes it or not, she is irrevocably becoming a Saiyan! Though.. I do sense another type of blood inside of her too... she's probably a dormant hybrid. Same as the saiyan and the other human heading this way.," Turles explained.
Yang heard this and her eyes widened.
"W-What? Me, a s-saiyan? How?!," Yang wondered.
Turles smirked at this before turning to face the blonde girl.
"Oh please, did you really think that sudden strength you had belonged to you?," Turles replied.
Yang went to answer before Turles silenced her by speaking again.
"Don't answer that. You may not be a saiyan yet girl, but trust me, it's only a matter of time until you turn into one. The change in your blood has already begun.," Turles revealed.
"How could... I be a saiyan? I was human.. last I checked, at least.," Yang said still in denial of what she was told.
"Oh? Still think you're human, huh? Very well, let's put that theory to the test then shall we?," Turles replied amused.
The saiyan raised a hand towards the blonde haired brawler and with a grunt sent a ki wave to her. Yang shut her eyes, but then opened them as she felt like she'd somehow lost control of her limbs and muscles.
"What the-? I-I can't move!," Yang said in surprise.
Turles chuckled darkly.
"Surprised you, didn't I blondie? That's a special binding technique to restrict movement.," Turles said chuckling darkly.
Yang just glared at him and clenched her teeth in annoyance.
"Yang!," Turuk said before looking back and glaring at Turles.
Turles laughed again.
"Relax, Saiyan. I won't harm your lady friend, for now at least. I imply want to prove a point to her.," Turles said.
"And that point is?," Turuk asked.
Turles grinned evilly as he responded while addressing the aforementioned blonde.
"That she's not human anymore. If you're listening blondie... if you can somehow manage to break that binding technique, it will just prove that you're no longer human. Then again... if you don't do anything, it may end up choking you to death. Heh heh heh, the choice is yours girl. Either stay as a human and be choked to death... or... embrace that you're no longer human and free yourself from danger. It's your choice.," Turles said.
"Why.. why are you doing this? Is this some sick joke to you?!," Yang asked angered.
Turles grinned darkly.
"As I said before, I'm merely proving a point here.," Turles replied smiling darkly.
This guy... he was really getting on her nerves now. And that smug look on his face, there was something about it that just rubbed her the wrong way. It was irritating to her.
"💢 Yeah? Well... SCREW YOU! AAAAHHHH!!!!," Yang replied as she screamed.
A hidden power that Yang never knew she had came surging forth as she shatters her invisible bonds. After which a clear white aura surrounds her like a flame as it blazes around her body. After this, the blonde lands with the aura still blazing around her. It is then that Yang finally comes to her senses and realizes what she's just done.
"Yang....," Weiss said a little bit worried.
"W-Weiss? I-I uh... I c-can explain!," Yang says stuttering and trying to convince her friend.
Turles couldn't help but to chuckle and laugh at this.
"Enough talk, Saiyan girl... I want to see what you can do, hybrid!," Turles said laughing darkly.
Yang was wide eyed and still struggling to come to terms with what was revealed to her. She... was... a saiyan? Seeing the girl still confused and struggling to come to grips with what had been revealed to her, the dark skinned saiyan put his hands on her shoulders and got her attention. He shook her to snap her out of her daze temporarily.
"Yang!," He called.
No response. He tried again.
"Yang!," Turuk called again.
She didn't respond, still in shock. All he could hear was her barely audible mumbling.
Turuk then grabbed Yang's face and slammed his head into hers, snapping her out of her trance.
"Yang Xiao Long, SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!," Turuk said slamming his forehead into hers.
The sudden action definitely snapped her out of it as she's seen gripping her forehead in pain.
"Ow! Turuk! What the heck was that for?!," Yang snapped at him.
Turuk sighed in relief as he spoke again.
"Sorry about that, Yang. It was the only to get you to snap out of whatever dark hole you crawled into in your head.," He said smiling and extending a hand to help the girl to her feet after she fell over from the impact.
Yang realized what Turuk did and smiled as she blushed at him.
"I-I see.. T-Thank you, for what you did.," Yang said blushing embarrassed.
She then smirked at him.
"😏 I'll have to thank you somehow later. Allow me to make it up to you by giving you something special, handsome~," Yang said seductively as she whispered into his ear.
Turuk couldn't help but to involuntarily blush and then sweatdrop at this.
"😅U-Uh.. r-Right.. I'll keep that in mind, Yang.," Turuk said feeling a nervous bead of sweat roll down the back of his head.
Yang turned back to Turuk and smiled at him while blushing.
"Just so you know Turuk... I-I really meant what I said. D-Don't f-forget that!," Yang said with her cheeks burning red.
Turuk blushed slightly at this.
"I-I won't Yang. Promise.," He said equally as embarrassed.
Turles was ready face them. There was just one issue... Slug was still here, and so were his men. How were they supposed to handle that many enemies?
To the side of them, Daikon and Weiss were seen fighting off Slug's cronies. The saiyan briefly looked back towards them.
"You should focus on the enemy in front of you, Belladonna. Don't worry, myself and the princess here will handle mister green man's minions.," Daikon said.
"💢Can you please stop calling me that?! My name is Weiss!," Weiss shrieked.
"I heard you the first time, woman! This isn't the time to be bickering! On your left!," Daikon said as he kicked away another soldier.
Weiss relented.
"Why you- ugh, fine! But we'll have a serious discussion about this nickname you have for me, later!," Weiss said.
"Gah, fine! Whatever gets you off my back, woman!," Daikon replied as they both went back to fighting the other soldiers.
Slug was still a factor, they couldn't fight both Turles and Slug. Just as Slug was about to pounce, he met by a boot to the face. This was courtesy of Ruby as the two had just made it to the scene.
"Back off, ugly!," Ruby said.
Jaune and Pyrrha followed them as they were soon seen to be assisting Daikon and Weiss. Nova looked to Ruby as she nodded. They agreed to help Daikon and Weiss as they glanced forward.
"Uhh... is it just me or... are there more soldiers than before?," Ruby asked.
"😓 Geez.. these guys just don't quit, do they?," Nova asked sweatdropping.
Nova, Ruby, Jaune, Pyrrha, Daikon, and Weiss all prepared themselves as they engaged the soldiers again. Slug was content just to watch for now, curious to see how they'd do against so many soldiers. He'd look for an opening after they were done expending their energy to fight off his soldiers.
Question was.. would they beat all of these soldiers, or would Slug get the jump on them when their guards were down first?
Nova could only hope his sister, Aiko, Scarlett, Nora, and Ren felt what was going on. They needed as much help as they could get, cause these soldiers kept coming at them.
Will Nova and his friends be able to fight off Slug and his cronies? And will Blake realize what's happening and get her group to come help them?

Whew! And done! Hopefully you guys enjoyed this chapter! Sorry for taking so long to update this, I was working on some of my other stories for awhile there. Next chapter won't be as long of a wait as we'll be nearing the end of this little mini arc before the cannon events of Volume 3 of the RWBY story begin. I thought some more development between Turuk x Yang and Daikon x Weiss wouldn't hurt since I haven't really focused on them a ton so far. And.. I made a mistake in an earlier chapter that I'll do my best to correct.
As you noticed... I'm making Yang into a mixed saiyan hybrid, the origin which will be revealed later. Thought it'd be a unique little twist since most stories I write I end up turning one of the main girls into the species of the main character to match their strength somewhat lol. In case you're worried that all humans who have pairings with saiyan characters will end up becoming saiyans themselves... don't worry about that. I won't do that with every human character, that'd be a headache to write. There's only certain characters that will happen to. And by that I mean only 2.
