And then the light burst apart to reveal-

"Servine!" my newly evolved pokemon declared with gusto, never losing the glare in her eyes at all. I looked over at Tyranitar, to find it frozen stiff.

Huh, was it that shocked by her evolving? honestly, not that I was expecting it either, this is our first battle together for crying out loud. But then, I suppose she'd been with Hilda for over a year. And she'd spent a few weeks around my pokemon and taking part in our training. And then continuing to train with my other pokemon at the Viridian City Pokemon Centre...

Well...fair enough.

"Notice, pokememon Snivy has evolved into Servine," Rotom Gauntlet spoke up from my fist, "Through evolution, Servine has acquired the attacks Mirror Coat and Glare."

Wait, what!?

Oh, that was why it was frozen stiff!

With a shout, my newly evolved Servine leapt into the air. A swirling vortex of green glowing leaves erupted into existence around her and started rapidly rotating around her body. then, she thrust her newly evolved and longer arms down towards Tyrantar, and the glowing leaves congregated together and spiralled downwards towards Tyranitar in the form of a roaring hurricane of razor sharp energy leaves.

Frozen stiff by Servine's Glare attack, it had no way to protect itself, and Tyranitar was peppered head on with the leaf Hurricane as its entire body was tossed up into the air like a ragdoll, and carried through the air to slam into the cave side atop the mountain with thundering force, a great big crater forming within the wall.

Well alright then!

"Quick, before it recovers girl!" I shouted, getting her attention as she landed back atop the rocky spire created by Tyranitar, "Solarbeam, again!"

"Ser!" she beamed with a wide grin and a nod. Her head turned towards Tyrantar once more, jaws unhinging and spreading wide open as a crackling orb of golden solar power hummed into existence.

And was fired a split moment later.

The size of the beam was a good fifty percent bigger than the one she'd fired before evolving too! That was incredible growth!

Tyranitar was in the midst of breaking out of its crater with a grunt when the golden Solarbeam slammed into it and sent it careening backwards, straight into the side of the mountain it was slammed against originally. It didn't even have time to react before the massive golden beam of solar grass energy washed over it and crushed it back into the mountainside.

Servine gave a coquettish little scoffing smile as she cut off the power of her attack after a few seconds and hopped off the rocky spire to land elegantly in front of me, a proud loom upon her face.

"Bit too early to celebrate don't you think?" I raised a brow at her, and looked over at the Tyranitar that sat in a slump within the crater, head bowed and eyes half shut.

It looked mightily dazed.

"Ser." Servine shrugged and sent a smug look Tyranitar's way.

Only to blink as the Tyranitar huffed and lifted its arms to grasp the edge of the crater it was lodged within, and pull itself out with a mighty heave that crumped the stone in its hands.

It stared daggers at Servine, and then craned its neck to the side, a cracking sounding echoing, and then it turned its head to the other and repeated it.

That was some stamina this thing had. A Rapid spin, albeit blocked, a point blank super effective Hydro Pump to the stomach, a super effective Solarbeam, a super effective Leaf Storm and another super effect Solarbeam and it was still chugging along.

'Nice.' I thought.

I liked that endurance.

It pointed a clawed finger at Servine, before suddenly its body was suffused with a familiar draconic green glow.

Dragon Dance!

"Servine, Vine Whip!" I ordered.

With a shout, she spun, twin vines erupting from her shoulders and lashing out, crossing the distance in the blink of an eye, but just as they were about to hit, Tyranitar moved.

It was almost a blur as the green behemoth dodged between the vines and then leapt high into the air.

It crossed the distance just a breath or two, casting a shadow over the both of us from above, a wide grin on its face, before its own maw opened wide open.

And a titanic flame in the shape of a star exploded into existence down towards us.

No time to dodge!

My heart leapt into my throat.

But-

Vines retracting in the blink of an eye wrapped around me and threw me to the side, just as the Fire Blast smashed into our, or now just Servine's position with earth shaking force, kicking up an explosion.

"Mirror Coat!" I shouted, even as I landed on my side and quickly rolled to my feet.

The smoke kicked up by the explosion was obliterated as a second star of fire, twice the size of the first erupted back upwards towards the airborne Tyranitar and smashed it out of the air.

It slammed into the ground a few feet away from Servine, who was burned quite badly and had fallen to a knee, panting deeply, before slumping to her side.

'Shit, that Fire Blast was amped by our Sunny Day!' I realised, fists clenching.

Unlike Servine, Tyranitar didn't stay down at all and though it was horribly bruised, battered, bleeding and even smoking with burns from its own attack being returned at double the power, it bore a victorious smirk as it raised a fist into the air above Servine, icy blue energy shimmering over its fist.

It wound up, before unleashing its Ice Punch attack-

Only to go frozen stiff.

No pun.

Blue electricity crackled over its form.

The origin?

My gauntlet clad fingers in the shape of a gun, "You aimed at me mate," I smirked, "I wasn't gonna get involved but you aimed at me too and tagged me in, fair is fair."

My Thunder Wave paralysed it before it could finish its attack.

"Now Shock Wave!" I shouted, opening my palm. A fat crackling bolt of lightning seared from my palm and washed over Tyranitar's body a second later.

It was a rock and dark type now after all, no longer ground type and immune to electric attacks.

Tyranitar snarled in pain, legs giving out beneath it as it dropped to its knees. And I took my chance, dashing towards it.

"Mach Punch!" I ordered next and threw my fist out in a punch towards it. From my fist, leapt a massive red ethereal gauntlet near equal in size to the Tyranitar itself.

And the massive quad effective fist bowelled into it, sending it flying where it hit the ground and literally bounced three times before slamming into another cave wall.

I looked to Servine who was looking at my wide eyed while on her side, "Solarbeam, one more time girl!" I told her, before cocking my fist back, "And let's go with another Mach Punch!"

Servine rolled onto her other side without much prompting, golden light shimmering into existence within her mouth for a third Solarbeam.

At the same time I threw my fist out in a punch through the air.

Before Tyranitar could shake itself off again, it was mere prey to a gleaming golden beam of solar power and an ethereal fist of pure fighting energy.

Tyranitar roared in pain.

And then slumped down on its face.

It didn't get up again.

"Luxury Ball." I commanded, holding my palm out. The indent on my gauntlet popped open and spat a gleaming ebony luxury ball into my grasp.

And a split moment later, it was sailing through the air, clonking the unconscious Tyranitar on the head, before popping open and sucking it inside.

Once, twice, thrice it shook, the golden middle of the luxury ball glowing a searing crimson red.

Before-

Plink!

Success.

Tyranitar was captured!
