Chapter 3 - ❗️3

"I-I don't know w-who the hell you are" he spat.

"Hmmm, okay" the girl said, grabbing a bottle of vodka from the shelf. "So, once upon a time, thirty-five years ago there was a greedy second child of the Maximillion family" she began as she poured some vodka into an empty glass.

"This greedy bastard had daddy issues and thought he deserved the right to succeed the company because of whatever bullshit." she took a sip of the vodka and gagged, "god, you mortals really don't have taste in alcohol—anyways, he did some digging and decided to summon a demon and sell his soul in order to make a wish come true, do you remember what that wish was?"

The CEO's face was riddled with fear, in a fit of rage he slammed his fist down on the counter, "I don't know who the fuck you are, but I wi—"

"—You'll what?" Azrael taunted, her golden irises began to glow, almost like a fire was lit inside them, "I don't know if you've noticed, but all your guards are dead so if I were you, i'd make the smart choice to sit the fuck down and listen."

The CEO immediately held his tongue, fear leaking out of his soul—to the girl, this was the most pleasant reaction.

'The fear that's in the room is almost making me feel excited.'

"That wish" Azrael went on, "was to kill off his father and his older brother in a way that made it seem like an accident, all in order to gain control of the family business. But of course, there was a consequence,"

"Wish?" The bartender questioned, "i-is this true?"

Blake Maximillion stayed quiet despite this prompt.

"If you could resist any temptation to further taint your soul, then you would continue to live" said the girl, "but if you could not then.. well, your soul will be collected and handed to the demon you made that deal with"

The bartender, with mascara running down her tear-stained face, shook the arm of her lover aggressively, "who the hell did you make a deal with, the devil!?"

"Lucifer doesn't make deals to ordinary humans" Jun cut in.

The bartender looked at him and then to Azrael, "t-then who?"

"Asmodeus." The CEO finally answered, "I made a deal when I was eighteen, with Asmodeus."

"That's right, my father" Azrael smiled.

"Father?" The CEO repeated, he then noticed the red crescent moon on the girl's left shoulder, "that mark.. you couldn't possibly be—"

Suddenly a loud thump and the sound of numerous footsteps intruded.

The two demons looked at each other in alarm.

"Azrael, Jun, get the fuck out of the building, the cops are swarming in"

Juro's firm warning reminded them they couldn't linger for long.

"Az, do it now!" Jun yelled.

Azrael sighed and grabbed the CEO by the collar of his shirt, "hope you had a good run"

"N-no no wait please!" he pleaded, "I-I'll do a-anything"

The girl shook her head as her hand emitted black flames, "a deals a deal." she then stabbed her hand inside his chest.

A red light glowed from beneath his clothes as she pulled out a large gem, the size of a golf ball.

It was black, like onyx.

"It went entirely black" she whispered.

"AZRAEL!" Jun yelled, "HURRY THE FUCK UP"

The girl gasped and looked at the bartender, "wait, what about her!?"

"Just leave her, we'll deal with it later!"

Her heart was pounding.

She felt a slight shift on her right arm, the dragon's head was on the top of her shoulder, it had gotten larger and was slowly making its way to her neck.

The bartender stared at the girl, "y-you.. you're the one.. that people have been talking about"

Before Azrael could say anything, Jun appeared beside her and pulled her

into the large circle of purple flames.

In a second, they were back on the roof where Juro was waiting.

"Fucking finally, holy.. I was about to come in there myself—we have to go" he said.

"To home down below or here?" Jun asked.

"Well if we have this," Azrael held out the gem, "I'm guessing the first option"

"Okay"

A burst of red flames came out from Juro's back. Red feathery wings formed just as he flew up, circling around the roof at an extreme speed.

A wind vortex was formed, blurring out their surroundings and causing the two to float off the ground.

After a few moments, Juro flew towards them right as they landed back on their feet.

The wind disappeared as soon as it came and they were now standing outside an enormous palace. It was made out of dark red bricks, the doors in front of them were a bright red.

The skies were dark, like an endless night.

Around them, besides the palace, were other residences and buildings.

The sounds of screams and groans that were further away could be heard from where they stood.

"Home sweet home" Juro said as he knocked on the door.

It quickly opened, revealing a familiar man with blond hair.

He had pure black eyes, and a caramel skin tone.

His usual attire was a red suit, however this time he had simply worn a red waistcoat with matching pants and a black dress shirt.

His ears were pointed.

He bowed and grinned softly, "welcome back, your highnesses"

"Hey Basileus" Azrael greeted, "are they home?"

"Indeed, lady Azrael" he confirmed, "they are currently dining and awaiting you"

"It's been awhile, Basileus!" Jun held out his fist.

"Lord Jun, it would be highly informal of me to—"

"—Come on, we've done this before" The demon smirked with a wink.

Basileus sighed and hesitantly bumped fists with him—though, to Azrael it seemed like more of a tap.

It was clear the poor servant felt extremely embarrassed doing it as his cheeks immediately flushed a bright red afterwards.

"Yeahhh, thank you" Jun chuckled as Basileus quickly walked off.

"That.. was weird to watch" Juro commented as they walked inside.

"I know, it's impossible to even think about Basileus of all people doing that.. he always prioritizes etiquette" Azrael remarked, "when did you make him do it, Jun?"

"When we were attending that one boring ball for my dads birthday" he answered, "it took like an hour for him to even consider doing it"

The three snickered.

Maids and butlers that were doing their daily chores bowed and greeted the three as they walked by.

Most demons were charmed by the looks and talents they had, even female demons talked highly of Jun and Juro.

The brothers were renowned in Hell for always being together and causing trouble, or succeeding greatly in missions.

While Azrael had many suitors since her awakening, she had simply told all of them one thing: that they would only have a chance with her if they could match her strength—and still, after many duels, none had succeeded.

Of course, she knew not one of them would.

Fortunately for her, many demons did not have a pride large enough to try such an impossible challenge anymore.

She was thrilled at the fact, for that was her goal in the first place.

She found other demons a hindrance, more so when she had just come back from a mission.

Soon, they reached an extremely lengthy table with a vast amount of all kinds of foods and drinks on it.

Behind it a few meters away, were thrones high from the ground and mounded into the wall—where the royal family sat.

At the table, were two men.

One in the main seat, the other sitting on the left side of the table next to him.

The man had long dark curly hair tied into a man-bun, and had a spiky black crown on his head.

He wore a black dress shirt with a red jewel as the top button.

But the man with the same gold eyes as Azrael had short black curly hair that dipped into his face.

His features were chiseled and he wore a larger black crown with a beautiful red jewel in the centre of it.

His attire was the same as most days—a black blazer with a black dress shirt underneath.

The two men were talking and laughing as they ate.

Jun cleared his throat, making the two look towards them.

"Ah, there are my boys!" exclaimed the one with long hair.

"Hey dad" Jun greeted as they walked up to them.

Juro gave a nod.

Beelzebub looked towards Azrael and smiled, "and how are you doing? I hope the boys didn't give you a hard time"

"Nah, Jun may have fucked up a bit but that's all"

"Az!" He hissed, "says you, you're the one who pushed a dude out of a twelve story building, not me"

"Neghh" she stuck her tongue out.

"Nghhh" Jun mimicked back.

"Well" Juro remarked, "I mean, Azrael didn't accidentally trigger a silent alarm sooo"

A snicker from her father interrupted the two, "Azrael, darling, did you really do that to a mortal?"

The girl looked away, "I may have.." she admitted with a slight touch of pink in her cheeks, "but in my defense, it was pretty easy"

Asmodeus stood up from his seat and embraced his child, "I'm glad you are home, welcome back"

"Dad," the girl pouted, "not in front of Juro and Jericho"

"I did not get to raise you for seventeen years," he stated, "the least I can do is make up for lost time"

Azrael hugged her father back, feeling her dragon mark shift again.

"It's surprising to see Asmodeus.. being so affectionate" Juro said.

"It's not that surprising" Jun shook his head.

The two let go and Azrael rubbed her neck, "well he's my dad so.."
