-Room of Requirement-

When I said I knew a room in Hogwarts that was perfect for having privacy to talk, I was obviously referring to the most magical, mysterious, and secret room in the entire castle: the Room of Requirement.

So, after leading the whole group through Hogwarts' corridors and shortcuts, we finally reached the seventh floor, stopping in front of what looked like a simple stone wall.

Wasting no time, I began doing the "ritual" necessary to reveal the room's entrance — walking back and forth three times — while briefly explaining how the Room of Requirement worked to those who were with me.

The very moment I completed the third turn, I also finished my explanation, and right before us a wooden door appeared.

With confidence, I immediately opened the door, leading everyone inside.

As soon as we entered, the door behind us closed, but no one paid any attention to it. Everyone was completely focused on what was in front of us.

Before us stretched a wide and cozy common room, illuminated by a soft light that seemed to come from the very magic of the place, giving it a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The room's main colors were indigo blue, light gray, and beige, with several sofas and armchairs arranged in a U-shape before a large brick fireplace already lit, warming the space.

On top of the sofas were a few cushions and blankets ready for anyone who wanted to rest or take a quick nap. Small side tables stood between the seats, and in the center, there was a large round table, slightly lower than the others.

When I asked the Room of Requirement to turn into a Common Room, I took a little inspiration from Gryffindor's — which, among all four, was the most comfortable and cozy... that is, if you removed all the red and gold.

The result, if I may say so myself, was perfect: the ideal balance between comfort and elegance.

It was the perfect room to rest, spend time with family or friends... or, of course, discuss the return of one of the worst Dark Lords in the wizarding world.

"In all my years exploring Hogwarts, I never knew this room even existed!" Sirius was the first to speak, looking around wide-eyed, completely amazed.

"Yes," Lupin nodded slowly, just as astonished as his friend. "I always knew this castle was magical, but this... this is on another level!"

Both had the same gleam in their eyes — pure curiosity and fascination — like that of a Muggle-born child who just discovered the wizarding world.

And they weren't the only ones captivated by the Room of Requirement's magic.

Everyone in the group who had been or still was a Hogwarts student also stared in awe, admiring the almost sentient room with shocked expressions.

They might not have been as adventurous as the two Marauders, but they thought they'd already seen or uncovered most of the castle's mysteries.

But now, seeing the Room of Requirement fully revealed, they realized they hadn't even scratched the surface.

Even those who weren't regular Hogwarts residents — like the Delacours, Nick, Penny, and even my own family — watched in silence, amazed.

But really, that wasn't unexpected.

My parents, despite having lived around magic for four years now, still weren't completely used to all the strange and extraordinary things of this world.

They were Muggles and had spent most of their lives unaware of this other magical side, and because of that, they could still be easily amazed by the wonders of magic.

As for the Delacours, even though they were experienced wizards, they admitted they had never seen or entered a place as mysterious as the Room of Requirement.

And from what they knew, Beauxbatons definitely didn't have a room like this... not even close.

Nick and Penny, on the other hand, weren't looking at the room just superficially like everyone else — they were analyzing it.

They could feel and see the powerful, mysterious, almost living magic of the room.

For two scholars like them, with a great passion for studying and understanding magic as a whole, this room was a completely new, priceless, and thrilling experience.

"Well, I'm glad to see you all apparently liked this room," I said with a slight smile.

Then, under everyone's gaze, I walked to the center of the room before throwing myself into the biggest armchair available.

Sinking into the soft cushion, I couldn't help but let out a satisfied sigh.

'Yeah... Nothing beats a big, soft armchair,' I thought.

Once I was as comfortable as possible in my seat, I looked back at the group before speaking again.

"I found this room at the beginning of my first year, while exploring the castle. And as you've seen, it's a pretty incredible magical room."

"This room is called the Room of Requirement, and it can transform into any kind of space or place, and it can also create almost anything the person who summoned it might need or desire," I explained calmly.

"Of course, there's an exception — food and some other organic materials can't be created, following the same rule as basic Transfiguration."

"But that's a problem easily solved if you have the right contacts. Observe... Luumy!"

After I called the name of one of the castle's elves, a mug of hot chocolate and a plate of peanut and cinnamon cookies appeared magically on the little table beside me.

"Thank you," I said, feeling a wave of joy coming from somewhere in the room before it vanished.

Grabbing the mug, I looked again at the people in front of me. "See? Easy," I said, taking a sip of the hot chocolate.

"Wait a minute... you found this room at the beginning of your first year?!" Sirius stared at me, incredulous.

"Really, Sirius?" Andy sighed, bringing a hand to her forehead.

"What?" the dog-man asked, genuinely confused.

"He just explained that this room can transform and create anything, but that's the part that caught your attention?" she said, looking at her cousin like he was a hopeless case.

"Uh..." Sirius looked away, clearly embarrassed.

"Anyway," I said, bringing the focus back to me before Andy could embarrass Sirius any further, "this room is one of Hogwarts' greatest advantages for students and staff, and very few people even know it exists."

"And actually, I'm not sure if anyone besides me even knows about it... or at least knows how to activate and enter it."

"Wait, so you never told anyone about this room?" Lupin asked, more out of curiosity than judgment.

"No," I admitted. "I kept this place secret from everyone — partly because it's too cool to go spreading around, and partly because I wanted to have my own secret base in Hogwarts."

"And honestly, you guys would've probably done the same if you'd found it back in your school days," I said, giving him a knowing look.

"Fair enough, actually," Lupin shrugged, knowing I was right.

Then, seeing that the werewolf had nothing else to add, I turned to the others before continuing, "Now, as I was saying... the Room of Requirement is perfect for us to talk calmly and peacefully, for as long as we need."

Raising my hand, I gestured around. "The room protects us from listening spells, prevents intruders, and even warns us if someone is approaching or trying to enter... all while providing comfort and leisure."

"You know, Ethan, the more I hear you talk about this room, the more impressed I get," Nick said, stroking his goatee with interest.

"Yes," Penny agreed, her blue eyes gleaming — a sign of her Magic Insight at work. "This room is truly marvelous, and I can see it functions as a living ward. Quite powerful and intelligent."

"And this definitely isn't something an ordinary witch or wizard could pull off... honestly, I'm not even sure a powerful one could do it — at least, not any I've ever met." she continued, watching a few invisible runes that ran along the room.

As a Runes Master, specializing particularly in Wards, Penny felt like a kid on Christmas morning… And believe me — she could hardly wait to unwrap the "magical gift" right in front of her.

End.
