-Little Hangleton Graveyard-

In the graveyard of the small village of Little Hangleton, a somber but oppressive calm surrounded the place. The full moon, partially covered by thick clouds, cast a pale, ghostly light on the old, decrepit church in the distance and on the aged graves and headstones scattered around the graveyard.

The graves and headstones of the deceased were worn and dirty, victims of time and neglect. And even though the inscriptions on the headstones were almost faded, it was still possible to see the names of some of those buried there.

On a large, ancient, dark marble headstone, with an imposing statue of an angel of death holding a scythe, there was one name that stood out from all the others, being quite noticeable and recognizable, and the name written on that headstone was Tom Riddle.

And in front of this eye-catching grave was a large, rusty iron cauldron resting on the ground, a funky object that obviously didn't belong there, making the scene even more macabre and abnormal.

On this dark and cold night the tense silence continued, with only the sharp sounds of the wind and the shaking of the branches of the dry trees being heard.

However, this silence did not last long, as in the next instant a sudden muffled cracking sound rang out.

*POP!*

*Thud! Thud!*

"Ouch!"

"Ow!"

Harry and Fleur groaned painfully as they fell heavily to the ground, disoriented by the sudden teleportation.

And I, who was already expecting this and was still in my mist form, was not affected or surprised by the forced travel like them.

'So this is the graveyard where Voldemort's muggle family is buried' I thought, analyzing the environment around me. The place was creepy and gloomy, and the uncomfortable smell of mold, wet earth and rotten vegetation permeated the place, causing discomfort to my sense of smell.

The last time I visited this village to spy on Voldemort I didn't want to stop to look at the graveyard, so this was the first time I had seen this place in real life, outside of the films.

"Uh..." I heard someone swallow hard beside me, along with feelings of fear and distress.

Turning around I saw that these feelings were coming from Harry, who was looking at me with slightly wide eyes as he held his wand tightly. And even Fleur beside him was looking at me warily.

Seeing them nervous and cautious it didn't take long for me to realize that the reason they were like that was because they didn't know that this mist was me.

And since the two of them had seen me approaching them in the center of the maze in that destructive and wild manner, it was natural that they were scared now.

"Oh," I blinked, my voice coming out a little deeper and more echoey in this form.

And then, in the next second, the dark blue mist that was my body began to condense and reshape, my body becoming solid and human again.

""!!?""

As soon as my transformation was over and I appeared in front of Harry and Fleur their eyes widened in shock.

"Ethan!?" Fleur exclaimed, pleasantly surprised.

And Harry, who was looking at me in surprise and confusion, had a big question mark above his head, still processing what he had just seen.

"How?!" he asked me.

"Magic," I replied with a shrug.

And before any of them could say anything I raised my hand, gesturing for them to be silent, looking around at the darkness of the graveyard with a cold, watchful gaze.

It was then that they remembered the situation they were in, which caused them to immediately become quiet, before they also began to look around.

"Where are we?" Fleur asked us quietly, slowly standing up with her wand in hand.

Harry, who had also stood up, looked at the graves and headstones around us nervously, "I-I... I think we're in a graveyard," he said, tightening his grip on his wand.

"That's not part of the third task, is it?" she asked, and from her worried expression she already knew the answer to that question.

While the Boy-Who-Lived and the Beauxbatons witch wondered what was going on and was worried about our situation, I continued to look around, ignoring them for a moment.

I was focused solely on my magical senses, trying to find Pettigrew and Voldemort's magical signature somewhere in the graveyard.

As they were two wizards who had completely surrendered themselves to dark magic, I was able to easily find their despicable and vile magic, feeling that they were a few meters away from us, slowly coming towards us.

However, I also noticed that there was more magic around us than usual, surpassing even the magic of the wizard residences. And this strange magic caused me discomfort, which immediately made me alarmed.

'What's going on?' I asked myself, activating my Magic Vision.

When I activated my eye magic ability I could finally understand why this area was emanating so much magic.

And the reason for this was because on the ground and on the graves around Harry, Fleur and me there were several runes inscribed with magic, invisible to the normal eye.

Quickly analyzing these runes I realized that they were part of a ward activation set, which I unfortunately had no idea what it was for.

'This shouldn't be here' I frowned.

And right after I thought that, with my Magic Vision still on, I saw the runes start to glow faintly, which meant that the ward was being activated.

Since I didn't know what the ward was for and didn't have much time to analyze it, I had no way to break it or interrupt its activation. And since it covered practically the entire area of the graveyard, I couldn't escape it either.

"Shit!" I cursed, my instincts warning me of danger.

Hearing my curse Harry turned to me, "What happened Ethan?"

However, I don't need to answer him, because in the next moment the runes shone brighter, now visible even to the two champions who were with me.

"What is that?" Fleur looked around in panic.

And the answer to her question was an uncomfortable feeling that suddenly came over us, along with a slight feeling of weakness.

Realizing that these runes were probably dangerous, Harry pointed his wand at a group of them on the ground.

"{Diffindo}," he cast a spell, intending to destroy the runes and break the ward.

But even after making the correct wand movement and saying the incantation, nothing happened.

"Huh?" he blinked in confusion, before trying again, "{Diffindo}!"

And just like the first time, nothing happened, which started to make Harry anxious.

"{Diffindo}! {Incendio}! {Bombarda}! {Stupefy}!" he tried other spells, only to receive the same result, "Damn! My magic isn't working!" he complained in frustration and worry.

"Neither does mine!" Fleur said after trying to cast a spell as well.

And seeing this happen and thinking about some of the runes I saw I immediately understood what kind of ward this was.

'That's a magic suppression ward!' I exclaimed in my mind.

To confirm this I also tried to cast a spell, seeing that just like Harry and Fleur I had also failed.

However, I felt the magic running through my body, passing through my hands and going to my wand, but as soon as it reached the wand something seemed to be preventing my magic from coming out.

'Wait a minute...' I thought, casting a spell again.

The same thing happened, but just like the first time I still felt my magic pass through my body.

And that made me realize that this ward was a basic suppression ward, and it didn't suppress the magic in our bodies, but rather temporarily blocked and suppressed the magic in our wands.

'That means I can still use wandless magic!' I realized, becoming a little more relaxed.

*Tap! Tap! Tap!*

And it was at this moment that I heard the sound of footsteps approaching, and I knew exactly who these footsteps belonged to.

'Peter Pettigrew' I looked at the direction the footsteps were coming from with a cold glint in my eyes.

Even far away from them I could clearly feel the corrupt, dark magic of the traitorous rat, and the powerful, vile, and deadly magic of the Dark Lord.

'Tsk... Even as a deformed fetus his magic is still very powerful' I thought with a grimace.

End.
