The atmosphere in the elevator was awkward.
Catherine Ford tried her best to minimize her presence and heard another female colleague lightly exclaim with some envy, "Anna, did you buy a car?"
"Ah, you found out. It's just my dad, he thinks I'm too tired commuting to work, so he bought me a car for running errands." Though she said this, her expression was very pleased.
"Who are you kidding? Your dad loves you so much, come on, what did he buy? I must hitch a ride sometime." the female colleague pressed.
"Just an Audi A6, only about six hundred thousand. My dad said once I'm used to it, he'll get a better one." She finished with a hint of regret.
Her colleague couldn't help exclaiming, "Six hundred thousand and that's considered cheap? We really don't understand the world of the rich."
Catherine thought to herself, exactly.
