In the center of the castle, in the grand chamber room where the great throne lay, an unprecedented sight unfolded in all of France. In the top left corner of the room, replacing what would traditionally be a single throne, was a secondary seat. Though smaller, this chair carried the authority and privileges of one who was to declare judgment.
Seated in that left-handed chair was Prince. His arms were folded, his hand resting under his chin as he contemplated his situation.
"How is it that I came to be in this position?" he thought, gazing over the expansive chamber hall. "I am to judge men? I've spent my entire life chasing men… killing men. And now I am here to determine the fate of others? What does this mean?"
