Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 [Arc 4]

[Name] was on the way to school when he walked past a café, a little homely place; looking into the café there were not many customers within the café, so [Name] headed in. Before walking to the counter, he put his backpack onto one of the empty tables and pulled out his wallet. As he continued to rummage through his back, someone tapped [Name] on the shoulder.

Turning around, [Name] saw another guy looking at him whilst holding out his wallet.

"You dropped this."

"Oh, wow. Thank you for that."

[Name] beamed and walked up next to the counter, and browsed through the menu. Settling with his drink of choice, a hot chocolate with extra cream on top. Whilst he was waiting for his drink to be ready, the person that passed him his wallet was also there too. But awkwardly staring at him, [Name] smiled again and waved at the person, to which was reciprocated with an awkward smile of his own.

Looking out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the other boy was about to say something but before any noise could be made the barista called for [Name] as his drink was finished. Giving the boy an apologetic smile as he went to grab his drink, [Name] waited beside the other boy. Seemingly surprised that [Name] had waited for him.

"Nice to meet you. What is your name?"

"Micheal H-Hewitt. You?"

"[Name] [Last Name]. Do you go to Ridgeview Secondary School? The one down the road?"

Michael nodded quickly, "Yes! That's where I go too."

The two boys chatted for a few more minutes before Michael was called to the front. Grabbing his drink, a double choc mocha, they headed to school. It was only 7.30 am when they had reached school. They walked to the halfway point of their tutor, Michael's tutor was upstairs and [Name]'s was on the ground floor, where the science labs were located.

They continued to talk for a while, talking about their subjects and what they intend on taking in college; Michael was thinking of taking game design at Brisgon's Evergreen Academy, and [Name] himself also wanted to take law, politics, and psychology at Bear River Grammar School, which was also located in Brisgon. As they continued talking Micheal was getting progressively more and more fidgety before [Name] just asked if the other was alright. He was brushed off until the other disappeared up the stairs and was not seen for the duration of the school day.

It was only when [Name] was leaving school, did Micheal show up at the gates and the two walked home in comfortable silence.

"So... if you do not mind me asking, where were you today?"

"Oh, yeah, sorry I was feeling ill. So I had headed home early."

[Name] looked at the other, and Micheal sweatdropped for a brief moment before [Name] smiled and the two continued walking. Walking through a park, Micheal invited [Name] to sit on one of the swings with him for a little bit; [Name] agreed and sent a text to his dad, saying that he was going to be a little late back tonight. His dad sent him a jovial text and then [Name] told Micheal.

"I can hang out for longer if you want?"

Micheal's eyes lit up and he beamed at [Name], "We can continue to talk at mine! You can have dinner at mine too!!"

"That's fine. Would your parents be alright with it though?"

"Yeah, my aunt would be fine with it. She had been urging me to make friends for some time, or at least bring a person over."

[Name] nodded and decided not to pry further in asking why Micheal only lived with his aunt.

As [Name] entered Micheals's house, both took their shoes off as they entered the home. The latter motioned for [Name] to come in further, but he just continued to stand awkwardly in the hallway. Looking at the home, he saw some stairs leading up. Leaving his bag at the bottom of the stairs

[Name] walked in further and past the kitchen and into the lounge, where Micheal was talking rapidly in Russian to his aunt, they conversed casually but to [Name] it felt like they were arguing. The lady turned around and observed [Name] for a long moment before smiling and going over to hug him.

She let him go after a brief moment, but [Name]'s heart thudded away like a hummingbird in his chest. He found it hard to focus after one of the torturous agonies he was put through in one of the previous worlds. It took nearly everything in him to stop himself from recoiling away when she hugged him. Even though previously he was alright with a touch from others. No real reason why he wanted to recoil; gingerly, he wrapped his arms around the elderly lady.

His aunt turned and entered the kitchen again before rushing the two into Micheal's room so they can do what they do.
