After wrapping up the call with Mother Chu, Ye Zhan didn't return to the restaurant.
Instead, he dialed Chu Junming's number.
He wasn't lying earlier; Chu Junming indeed hadn't contacted him these past few days.
Knowing that he and Tang Jinchen are newlyweds and need to accompany their wives, even Feng Yize, who loves a lively atmosphere, didn't invite them out. He heard Feng Yize was off playing with Ziyang and Zinan.
Chu Junming answered the phone quickly.
It rang only twice before he picked up.
"Brother, calling so early?"
"Not up yet?"
Ye Zhan listened to Chu Junming's voice; it sounded like he might still be in bed.
"Yeah, I went to bed a bit late last night and was just about to get up." Chu Junming said, getting out of bed.
"You haven't gone back to stay at the Chu Family's house these days?"
"Did my mom call you?"
