Mo Xiuchen softly hummed a sound and gently stroked Wen Ran's smooth hair, whispering, "Ranran, you sleep first, I'll go to the study and call Ah Mu."
Wen Ran nodded, "Okay."
After watching her get comfortable in bed, Mo Xiuchen thoughtfully covered her with the blanket, then got out of bed, checked in on the three sleeping little treasures in the next room, before heading back to the study and dialed Qin Mu's number.
The phone rang a few times, then from the other end, Qin Mu's voice came through on this autumn night, vaguely carrying a tinge of suppressed emotion, "Hello, Mo Xiuchen."
"Something sounds off with your voice, what's wrong?"
Mo Xiuchen narrowed his long eyes and stood tall in front of the window, holding the phone in one hand while the other hand moved the curtains, his deep gaze cast towards the night sky.
"It's nothing. What's up calling so late?"
On the other end, Qin Mu retorted instead of answering.
