Chapter 1218 - Chapter 1218 - The Moran Family Crest

"Why are you looking at me like that? Did I say something wrong?" Laila looked at him, puzzled.

Roy chuckled and shook his head. "Nothing. Let's just focus on where we're going tomorrow. Preferably something low-key." As he spoke, he glanced over his shoulder twice.

Laila knew exactly what he meant—he was referring to the bodyguards who had been trailing them. It really was a hassle to travel with such a big entourage. After all, they were in the East—one of the safest places in the world. There was no real need for such heavy protection.

"If we don't bring any at all, Grandpa will get angry. How about we just bring Arthur? And rotate the others daily? That okay with you, Arthur?" She turned to speak to the man seated at the next table.

Arthur nodded with a smile.

As the head of the security team, his combat skills were naturally top-notch. Just looking at his thighs, thicker than most women's, and his solid, muscular build—it was clear he radiated strength and intimidation.

In other countries, he absolutely wouldn't allow Laila to make such a "risky" decision. But here in the East, safety wasn't really a concern. The worst they might encounter was petty theft—never a sudden shootout.

Having followed Laila across the globe, Arthur and his team had the utmost confidence in this country's security.

With the arrangements made, Roy smiled and said, "Let's hope we don't get recognized again."

"I can't make any promises," Laila replied with a wry smile.

This trip had been planned to be as discreet as possible—a perfect honeymoon getaway. As for promoting the movie, that wasn't high on Laila's list of priorities. Sure, she felt a bit unwilling to let the record slip away by such a small margin, but compared to what might be a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon, the latter was more important.

She could always make another movie—ten, even. If she couldn't break the record this time, she'd try again in the future. But if promoting the film ended up ruining her honeymoon, she'd rather skip the publicity altogether.

What she forgot, however, was that even though she had quietly arrived in the East without taking a commercial flight (which might've exposed her identity), the plane she arrived on had already drawn attention.

In today's world of smartphones, snapping a quick photo and posting it online is second nature.

So, when the Moran family's plane landed at the airport, its unique paint and emblem stood out among the sea of standard white commercial aircraft, and it immediately appeared on Weibo.

The user who posted it was simply intrigued—it looked new, sleeker than the typical planes branded with airline logos. The emblem on the tail was especially eye-catching.

He didn't know what it was, but someone among his followers did. A friend replied that it probably wasn't a commercial airline, but a private or corporate jet.

At first, people didn't think it was a private jet—it was too big. Most people imagined private planes to be smaller.

Soon, someone who recognized the image chimed in:

"That emblem on the tail is the Moran family crest. It's either a Moran Group aircraft or a Moran family private jet."

Mention of a family crest immediately gave things a sense of prestige and grandeur.

People began discussing various wealthy families and what their crests looked like. Eventually, someone timidly commented:

"If that's the Moran family crest… does that mean Director Moran is here?"

That comment was instantly met with skepticism.

"No way! The Avengers is just a few million short of breaking the record. She should be at Hollywood HQ holding the line, not flying over here."

"Maybe she came for promotional purposes?"

"Who does promo this quietly? Wouldn't she have a pack of journalists with her to stir up hype? That's how promotions work!"

As the discussion heated up online, Laila hadn't even checked into her hotel yet—but the internet was already buzzing.

And sure enough, when she got out of the car and stepped into the hotel elevator with Roy and their child, they were recognized.

It was hard not to notice them—they were all foreigners and all strikingly good-looking. Especially Roy, who had grown more attractive and exuded a mature, masculine charm. With his looks and physique, just walking a few steps was enough to draw everyone's eyes.

With a guy like that in the group, how could they not be recognized?

"E-Excuse me… Are you Mr. Roy and Director Moran?" a timid girl, cornered by the sudden arrival of foreign guests, managed to ask.

God knew how frightened she and her friend had been a moment ago. They were about to go upstairs when suddenly a crowd of tall, muscular foreigners stepped into the elevator—many with tight shirts straining over bulging muscles.

They even thought for a second that a gang of international criminals had shown up, scaring themselves half to death—until they spotted Roy and Laila, and instantly relaxed.

People are always drawn to beauty. When both a fierce-looking person and a handsome one appear, people instinctively assume the fierce one is dangerous and should be avoided, while the attractive one is more likely to be kind and trustworthy.

As unfair as it is, that's just how this looks-driven world works.

So when the bodyguards entered first, the two girls had trembled with fear. But the moment Roy's face came into view, they suddenly felt much more at ease.

Once they relaxed, they realized he looked very familiar. And then—holy crap—wasn't that Captain Jack Sparrow / the Elven Prince / and that other guy?

And the woman next to him—weren't those Laila's eyes? That had to be her! There was no way they'd mistake their idol for someone else.

So just as the elevator was about to reach their floor, they summoned the courage to ask.

"Yes, hello," Laila replied with a friendly nod.

There was no chance for further conversation—the elevator doors shut, and they went up.

"Ahhhhhh!" The two girls squealed, jumping in place. "It's really Laila!"

"Roy is so handsome. Laila is seriously the luckiest woman alive!"

"Wait… I don't remember seeing any news about them coming here?"

"Did we miss something?"

The girls rushed back into their room, quickly connected to the Wi-Fi, and started scouring the internet for news about Laila and Roy's visit.

No official news reports yet—but Weibo had started trending with the topic: Moran Family Plane Spotted at Airport.

As they scrolled through the posts, one girl suddenly paused, frowning. "Hey… did you notice what Roy was holding in his arms just now?"
