The South Gate was completely secured by the Dark Moon Family. With the few numbers added from them to the West Gate, casualties decreased even further. Most just maimed people and the death of one or two people. Spies from the other families that thought know one noticed them sneaking over on the walls.
"Sir," an Officer came over to Shen Yue and the cubs. "reports have come in regarding the other areas. A few are wanting to go and help. What are your orders?"
"Hmmm?" Shen Yue cocked his head to the side a little at that. Despite the passing months, the loyalty to Glory City was still there in most of them. With the reinforcement of "Decency" of humans and that of the Military Code of Justice, he would be hard-pressed to deny this. Not without cause anyway. "Those who finished their shifts can go. But tell them to be careful."
"Of course sir!" The Officer shot off to inform the others with a smile.
"Papa, can we go to?" One of the Black Star Tiger cubs asked. Voice no different than a child's really. "We need to sharpen our fangs and claws!" They looked at him pleadingly.
"Go, but be careful. They are not that trustworthy." Shen Yue nudged the cub as well as the others. "Kiala, I better not hear from your brothers you hunted alone again. The female cub ears dropped a little. That was her plan exactly. "Tigger watch of your troublesome sister."
"Of course." Tigger was the biggest and overall strongest out of the Black Star Tiger cubs, and the one that spent the most time with him. Compared to the ones who mostly spent time with Yang Xin. "Let's hurry!"
The Black Star Tiger cubs and a few Officers took off to accompany them. Yang Xin and members of the Alchemy Association going with. The collection of the terrain and the few Demon Spirits were enough to cover their gains already.
More members in the Alchemy Association were aware that the powerful Vortex Glass had something to do with Shen Yue. But the time table had them chalking it up to it being his Master Liang Yu. With the Flame in the glass, less volatile and controallable, it was an assumption made that he was taught by him.
One that would not be corrected by Shen Yue.
"Oh, what do you want?" Shen Yue turned to see Xiao Ninger and Yu Yan lad from the sky. "You should be fighting at the other gates ensuring humanity and all that." Both of them kept staring at his state currently.
"I heard you merged with a Dragon, why does it look like you merged with a mutated Black Star Tiger?" Yu Yan questioned. Her instincts telling her in every way he was a Demon Beast. But before it screamed at her he was a human and close to becoming a Spiritual God. 'To many secrets with this one.'
Shen Yue just pawed the ground a little. Thinking on it, the Flame Vortex Star Dragon is more of his combination of the strongest "types" from Star Martial God Technique. Then mix them with his Flame Vortex Core.
The backlash and separation he received when messing with laws a while back helped in a way make more ideas. He didn't have an actual Demon Spirit he merged with. The closes being the Father Black Star Tiger but it died and was heavily influenced by the abilities of the Flame Vortex Core.
The Abyss Demon didn't have a core and it's body was merged into his Fire Body Technique.
"Just came to investigate is all." Xiao Ninger said. Aware he was not going to answer the other question. "Reports from fleeing soldiers said you were all not attacking and the Demon Beasts overran the area."
"Blatant slander from cowards. I hope they execute them." Shen Yue turned his head towards them. His tiger tail smacking against the ground a bit. "They did desert and spread lies during a military siege, surely that cannot pass."
"You are right." Xiao Ninger nodded. "Ye Hong already took note of them and so did my people. Not only were the gates not breached in the south, but the enemy is also already gone from the area and pushed back from the west gate. Only the other areas are seeing casualties."
"Big bro kitty!" Nie Yu came speeding over. Her eyes were bright and shiny. Her bodyguards right behind her looking exhausted. The other kids still in the area but staying with their parents who came out to help with the harvesting of materials. "So fluffy!"
"This child..." Yu Yan eyes lit up. She could feel the Law of Light coming from her. ".. how did she cultivate the Law already?"
"I gave it to her of course." Shen Yue allowed Nie Yu to climb on top of his head. Lifting up, he was a pretty large individual even when on all fours. "I checked for a few others in my Compound it would be suited to but they were found lacking."
"You are frustrating!" Yu Yan said. "To give a law away like that! That strength should not be given to a child!"
"I said gave, but she also earned it." Shen Yue's tail hit the ground dangerously. He was trying to figure out who gave her the balls to question his decision. Especially with something he obtained. "Am I going to have to dispose of you now?"
"Big bro kitty," Nie Yu looked over at him with her bid eyes tearfully. "don't hurt the pretty lady. She doesn't know any better, dad said when they get like that, t is that time of the month."
"That is not it at all!" Yu Yan said embarrassed. "What are you going to do if someone tries to come after her?"
"She has guards for that and she can defend herself." Shen Yue yawned a little. Causing Nie Yu to hold on tight to keep from falling off. "No different than others coming after her for techniques, manuals, or resources she has. Also, you only know she is practicing laws because I created that body you have. Others do not, nor can they tell because of my seals."
"He is right." Xiao Ninger's eyes shined a little before returning to normal. Unless she puts the power of law into her attacks, I wouldn't know. Let alone regular cultivators. Only those in the Nether Realm would even have a guess at what it is."
A few more militia members headed pass them. Having harvested the glass in that area already. Which meant all of it was finished now.
"Excuse me." Shen Yue spread his Astral Sense out making sure everyone was cleared out. A few sweeps and 3 minutes later he was done. "Ok, Nie Yu, pay attention. This is how to restore the land."
*Tshh!* Dirt from Shen Yue's Internal Space spread out. An earthy smell permeated the air. Mixing it all across the land and blending it with the soil, spirit energy was then added to the soil and seeped into the earth for a few feet.
"Oh!" Nie Yu jumped off his head and reached into her pouch. "Then we spread the grass seeds! And flower seeds!" She said happily. "We learned that in class!" She started throwing out seeds everywhere. Without any order to it.
"Hehe, that is correct." Shen Yue sat on his back legs watching. Reaching out to the others to let them come over and help. Less he would have to do really. The children that were still behind the wall came out and helped. "Hmm, even in times like this, perception is what matters."
"What do you mean?" Yu Yan asked. She looked around trying to figure out something. "These kids are playing, having fun while others are fighting for their lives. How is that ok?"
"Why wouldn't it be?" Shen Yue licked the back of his hand curious a little. "Countless generations spent their times' hiding hoping th Demon Beast Horde would leave them and not kill them. The ruins of those in Orchid City are a good example. They locked themselves away crying and terrified for their lives."
"The bodies.. do you do some type of Divination on them?" Xiao Ninger asked. It was the only way she could understand his needs for them really. "That would explain the knowledge you acquire about areas a lot more. A part to live through their lives.. is quite a psychological burden."
"Hmm, I have the Heart Method to help with that." Shen Yue circulated Astral Sense just a bit. "It helps along with refining my body all over again. It use to hurt so bloody much I swear." His tail hit against the ground, making a few rivets. "Among other things really, it helps the most and allows me to grow stronger from the unease of others."
Nie Xiaofeng listened intently. The thought and looming of a Beast Horde growing up always terrified him. Yet one was going on right now and his family was already safe from it. Glory City was safe from it.
"So yeah let them play, have fun here while knowing what's going on." Shen Yue licked his paws before looking back at the surroundings. "Growing up during trying times changes a person. Not like they are growing up during a full on war. But then again, maybe we should send them in to go fight Demon Beast Horde?"
"Don't you dare!" Yu Yan said heatedly.
"Ah, so keep them away from everything. Keep them scared and locked away waiting on death. Excellent, I should have understood your line of thinking more." Shen Yue stood up giving his body a shake. His bones popping as he took on more characteristics of the Black Star Tiger. "Why so suprised, that's what it feels like you want for them."
"That is not it at all." Yu Yan took a single step back. "They should just be inside. Where it is safe. A Demon beast could come rushing out of an encirclement and cause a problem in an instant."
"Oh, so in a building while everyone fights and dies. Worrying for when and if they will be saved." Shen Yue smirked at her. HIs eyes shining purple as he gave a shake turning back to normal. "Besides those who cannot fight because of physical issues or recovering from something, my people, the Dark Moon Family are taught to die in the open. To not end up like slaves to another."
"THen they are crazy." Yu Yan muttered.
"Perhaps they are. But the worse soul, is that of a coward. It carries that stain even into "Death," I assure you." Thinking about the concepts of Death and the Laws of Death in this Dimension was insightful. As well as easier than any of the others. "Grow.."
*Shine!* Shen Yue's spiritual energy washed over the area. This caused the grass to grow and the flowers to sprout out with dangling buds.
"Where are you headed?" Xiao Ninger asked. She only looked at Yu Yan for a brief moment. 'Well, she is thinking about something again. Gone be a long night of questions and answers again.'
"Exhausted a lot of my spiritual energy, going to work my body now." Shen Yue kicked off the ground using purely his physical body. He sailed through the air towards the other areas. 'I can't miss this chance to take in that Death energy available. More I have, will make it easier to kill the Death Spiritual God later.'
Shen Yue wanted to polish his martial arts more. Plus to implant in those who were their heads he fought a certain way.
