A few minutes later and the situation was under control. Those injured were taken inside for further healing as Shen Yue only stabilized them. His Astral Sense not picking anyone else up to deal with.
No sign of the Demon Lord. But the kicker, Ye Han received an injury while guarding Ni Lie during the scuffle,. What they were up to was something amusing for the future Shen Yue supposed.
A few City lord people looked at Shen Yue in suspicion. Since every member of the Dark Guild that he came across were killed without a trace. The lack of bodies to prevent interrogation the issue.
"We thank you for the help, but not a single one left alive.. you can understand the concern." Elder Gongliang Shu stated. The few with him looked a hot mess suffering brutal injuries on closer look. "I think it best for you to remain here until the City Lord arrives."
"Oh, who is gonna keep me here?" Shen Yue grinned at them. They were really pushing it. "I will wait all of five minutes, you have that long to get the "City Lord" out here to see me. The clock is ticking so I suggest you hurry up."
"Tch!" Elder Gongliang Shu signaled his men to go get the lord while he waited. 'He killed several Black-Gold Realm spiritualists by himself.' A glance at Ye Hong showed he was fine covered in blood that was not his. "Hmm?"
*Fwish!* Shen Yue's sword stopped emitting flames. The runes showing deeper in the sword. He observed it oddly. It shouldn't have changed like this at all.
"Well now..." Shen Yue felt his information on swords returning. "..that's a little better but this still needs more checking." Running his finger down the spine of the sword he put it away for later. 'Sword Attainment lvl 2, hello old friend.'
The courtyard were they stood gained a sharp feeling to it. None were spared the effect as if a sharp blade brushed against their throats. Ye Hong blinked then closed his eyes. The pressure helping him reflect on his recent action of losing control.
'I will not miss this chance!' Ye Hong had a Heart monster eating away at him the last few weeks. One of the reasons his cultivation slowed down as doubt had taken route. 'I need a firmer resolve to move forward!'
As he sat in contemplation, Shen Yue returned the Sword pressure. His Astral Sense picking up Nie Li staring at him from the shadows. Instead of coming over like the City Lord he decided to sneak.
Stupid move.
"The enemy is still here!" Shen Yue shouted as he kicked some debris where Nie Li was located. "I will make sure to only cripple this one Shu!" He shouted to the Elder.
'Oh shit!' Nie Li dodged the debris barely but the pressure from Shen Yue kept him from running. 'Need come out of stealth!' He reappeared but Shen Yue's fist was mere inches from his chest.
"Stop!" Ye Ziyun shouted with Ye Zong. Both attacking Shen Yue together.
*Bam!* Shen Yue took it in the side but jumped last second to travel with the blow. He hit the wall going right through it before stopping.
"Master!" The 2nd Officer came down like a blizzard of death. A trident in her hands as she went for the kill against the two who just attacked Shen Yue. "I'll kill you, scoundrels!"
"STAY YOUR HAND!" A voice bellowed out. It was the Divine Family Patriarch, Chen Zhenlong. Of course, that didn't work at all. "Dammit!"
"2nd Officer stand down now." A voice said calmly. It was Shen Xiu with a few regular guards and Xion Ninger with her entourage. "Shen Yue will be fine, no need to kill the people of the City Lord Mansion."
"You speak on behalf of these ...." The 2nd Officer looked at her in contempt. Not sure what side Shen Xiu was on really. A simple nod from the woman did not bode well. But seeing Shen Yue walking out signaling to come back she relaxed. ".. just this once."
Shen Yue sent a message directly to them both while in the rubble. It was act to check what they would do during the situation. And to make them underestimate his strength.
"Well since they have this under control, we should leave them to clean up." Shen Yue said breath a little labored. The blow didn't really hurt but he needed to sell it. The acting was not his strong suit at all. "Better come up with a good payment later."
"Father.." Ye Ziyun said. Her look was quite clear. ".. the Colossal Abyss Demon corpse.. will that suffice?"
The few gathered looked shocked.
"That will do nicely." Shen Yue received the body without an issue leaving with his people. "Best of luck in the future."
"Why did you give the whole corpse to him?" Chen Zhenlong asked. With those gathered he believed they would be able to take Shen Yue down if the issue was pressed.
"Because we need all the help we can get. The Dark Guild was able to attack the Mansion so easily injuring several of our guards and killing scores more around the city. Not to mention the Pseudo Legend Realm 2nd Officer of his." Ye Ziyun said after organizing her thoughts. "Even if she used a forbidden technique to achieve that strength we would not have come out unscathed."
"How are you Nie Li?" Xiao Ninger asking seeing the blood on his face. A cut on his cheek looked very bad. " How did you get that?"
"Came from Shen Yue." Nie Li said calmly. "Before the others interfered his fist moved to the side a little bit. This was generated from the force behind it. It doesn't seem to heal no matter how much I circulate my spirit energy."
The cut was about four inches long. About half an inch from his lips towards the cheekbones. The skin was burned open and wouldn't heal easily or at all if Shen Yue forced the issue.
A few guards came over out of breath. Whispering to the City Lord about the current situation.
"What did you say!?" Ye Zong was shocked. "All of the prisoners that attacked the Heavenly Marks Family escaped! Who broke them out?!"
"We don't know sir. But.." The guard was reluctant to say anything. But a glare from his leader forced the issue. "Reports of members from the Sacred Family were seen in the area. But conflicting reports state they were critically injured and may have fought against the escapees."

Shen Yue was currently in his study with the 2nd Officer and Shen Xiu. Shen Xiu asking why he attacked like that. No full when he would have known the person in hiding was Nie Li due to the body size.
The Flaming Snake slithered into the room curling up. A slight bulge in its belly from something it ate. Its Internal Space had grown in its stomach but it had trouble correcting the size at times.
"Because I wanted to test the strength of them when emotions were heightened." Shen Yue worked away at a rune onto the corpse of the Colossal Abyss Demon. Matching runes on his body lit up in response as the Flame Vortex finished refining the bodies of the Dark Guild members. "I am sure I kill them with just using my physical body."
*Fwish!* Flames poured out of Shen Yue engulfing the Colossal Abyss Demon. He was refining it to combine it with his Fire Body. It was time to upgrade the technique lot further than what it already was.
"Are we going to move against the City Lord now?" Duan Jian asked coming in. Sikong Hongyue behind him. "Has it come to that?"
"Oh, not at all." Shen Yue continued to refine the demon spirit. "Just need certain people thinking certain things. Best to watch how they scurry about to see what will unfold. They still serve an overall purpose in defending the City. The first line of "Defense" for when the Demon Beast Horde attacks."
"Are you making that your new Demon Spirit?" Sikong Hongyue asked. She inquired since any time she saw him sparring or training with the others he never used a full Transformation. "It looks menacing enough."
*Fwish!* Blue white flames flared in the room.
"No, it is not. Just a technique is all." Shen Yue checked her over to get a feel for her training. "You have progressed into the Black Gold Realm. Congratulations on doing so. Better for you to keep you family members in line. No need to have Duan Jian do all the work."
"Thank you." Hongyue said respectfully. Reminded the orders of things easily enough. "Jian barely needs my help, he is a natural strong leader." A small bit of arousal in her voice. Whatever the two are up to on their own behind closed doors is their business. 'Once I have him deeply in love with me, we will see how things go in the future.'
Her overall plan was mute with the loyalty increasing between Shen Yue and Duan Jian. A glance at the process Shen Yue was doing caused her to grimace.
"The Scarlet Body Refining Technique.. the benefits of that will not help in the long term." Internally she was elated. But a flare of spirit energy had her second guessing. "That.. method.. what is the other method you are using?"
"Combination of going Berserk and The Scarlet Body Refining Technique." Shen Yue finished the process further pulling the Abyss Demon inside. Placing within the Flame Vortex Core but using the Flames produce to sustain and change it. "SO many methods to try further, so little time."
Taking out some paper, he wrote up the combination of the Techniques and some warning about it. A few pills distributed to those who practice it to help with the training. It was established for each member of the Militia forces who did not plan on serving in overall Military capacity to start training in the method.
"Make sure this gets done." Shen Yue told the 2nd Officer who left. The 1st and 3rd coming right around the same time with news. The looks on their faces already indicating it was a grave situation. "Alright.. who died?"
"No one sir." The 1st Officer answered. "The Divine Family has something odd happening."
"A patrol said they found a strong scent of blood coming from the place." The 3rd Officer passed the message over with details. "I instructed them to remain outside and had another group go with a few other Families guards to inform the City Lord 's Mansion."
"That was a good call. Have our people come back altogether when they return. I do not any of our people involved in what is going on inside." Shen Yue would rather observe from the outside than risk his people. "The Divine Family should handle their own problems. Alert the Alchemy Association and the Winged Dragon Family that due to recent events we will mind our own business."
"Yes sir!" The 1st and 3rd officer immediately left to handle those matters. The leak of spiritual energy definitely letting those in the room know of their strength.
"They are both close to reaching the Legend Realm, what spurred them on all of a sudden?" Shen Xiu asked. She did not get an answer but the smile on her nephew's face was most peculiar. "Did something happen on your little excursion a few weeks ago?"
"Maybe." Shen Yue shrugged then looked at Duan Jian's troubled face. "Go ahead, can't be that bad after what they said."
"Someone snuck in from a weakening in the Wall." Duan Jian thought Shen Yue would be furious but he only nodded. "We have not been able to find them yet. I would have thought that would have cause trouble."
"Don't get me wrong it is troublesome but you handled it well." He gestured towards the Flaming Snake. It opened its mouth wide spitting out a person who was very deformed from the stomach of the snake. "The person was captured and brought here recently. Didn't have time to check to make sure though?"
"Who is this?" Duan Jian asked. Most of them had no idea but Sikong Hongyue did.
