Bai Zhi's workload has recently increased somewhat, because someone suddenly resigned from the logistics department without waiting for replacement, leaving others to divvy up the duties, Bai Zhi accepted some. Although it doesn't seem heavy, it still adds up quite a bit when combined with her own tasks.
However, even though it's heavier, she doesn't have to work overtime on weekends. This weekend happens to be Father Bai's birthday, and Mother Bai specifically requested that she try to go home if possible.
Bai Zhi agreed without hesitation, firstly because of Father Bai's birthday, secondly because she hadn't been home in several months, and thirdly because she wanted to take this opportunity to inform them in person about her relationship with Duan Xingzhi.
Before going back, she bought Father Bai a birthday present and bought Mother Bai a dress at the mall.
