"Buy some fruit and go see your mas—uh, Qi... whoever!" Xiaoqiang deliberately mimicked her speaking tone. Qian pushed him playfully, "You're annoying!"
Yeah, even Xiaoqiang noticed she was being a bit melodramatic about the father-recognition thing, but there was no helping it. She just couldn't accept the change in identity all at once.
The two of them went back to the hospital again. Yu Minglang knocked on the door. Hearing a call to come in, he entered with a bright smile and some fruit.
"Hey, you, are you feeling better?"
"Hey, you" was lying on the hospital bed, bored, counting the little black dots on the ceiling. Hearing the door open, he immediately sprang up but lay back down disappointed when he saw it was just Xiaoqiang. Proudly, he responded,
"Still alive."
"Oh, honey, he's still alive, you don't have to come in!" Yu Minglang yelled towards the hallway outside. Qio Yu Xuan immediately coughed a few times, clutching his chest.
