At the other end, the residents of the shelter clutched torches and outdated Homogeneous Item weapons, faces joyous due to the strange resolution, yet wary of strangers.
Most of them were middle-aged, with some younger ones among them.
"This shelter is not open to us, and we're no different from the strange entities, both invaders of the shelter." Lu Li replied, searching the crowd for familiar silhouettes.
"At least we won't attack them." Katerina added with sarcasm.
Katerina didn't like the shelter residents.
No one liked the shelter residents, except those who profited from them.
While struggling to survive and resist the strange entities on the surface, the shelter residents hid in the deep underground shelters. Even though people understood that the purpose of the shelter was to preserve the spark of life, understanding didn't mean acceptance.
