" Good afternoon, your honor. I am Arthur de Medici Frost. Leader of the Guardians, mayor of Eden, and head of the interdimensional alliance."
Arthur slightly bowed his head to show his respect toward Revenna who was caught off guard because most people would throw tantrums when they came here.
Only a few exceptions would act calmly and none of them were normal individuals.
" As expected from class 1 singularity who could change multiverse. You are a quite refined person. Let me briefly talk about your doings and our job.
First, we maintain the stability of the multiverse by eliminating threats that would deviate the timeline which we call the sacred timeline. All things must go according to this timeline and those who deviate from timelines are called as variants.
Our job is to hunt down those beings and destroy branched timelines to ensure stability across the multiverse. However, there are a few exceptions. A being who could affect an entire timeline while not being part of it is called a singularity.
The singularity is an existence that can affect not just their universe, they can affect entire surrounding universes to a certain degree which is why we would turn away from them.
As you can tell, you are one of such beings. You are an individual who affected entire timelines of different universes and dimensions which made our task impossible to accomplish in the end. Hence, I am giving you a pardon and special privileges but you must take an oath before it."
The guard handed a long draft of pages that almost looked like a book in his hands. The dusty pages created a loud thumping noise when they hit the table, creating dust in the room.
Arthur used his power to take down the dust whilst scanning the pages in a moment before signing on it. He didn't find it restrictive and it looked alright to him. There was no obligation for their use and no strict rules except for a few logical ones that he expected.
" Tell me, your honor. How many variants of me have you met?"
Ravenna pondered for a minute before a little clock-like figure floated before Arthur. She tilted her head to look at his face which made Arthur do the same. Both of them curiously touched each other as Arthur exclaimed with excrement because she was an AI which was more advanced than his.
" Hello, there. My name is Miss Minute. I am here to help you as a guide. For your question, it is highly classified to outsiders, so I advise you to look at it by yourself."
Arthur rubbed his chin with amusement, knowing his variants would be the same as him because certainly, he hadn't met a single version of himself except for well-dead ones.
" Fascinating technology. You are even more advanced than my AIs and Ultron. I wish I could dissect you and study your algorithm."
Miss Minute immediately ran behind Revenna, peeking out with fear in her eyes because she knew Arthur was an individual that was capable of doing so.
" Please stop joking Mr. Frost. My friend Morbius will guide you through our organization. We hope to become your friend after all. They say becoming friends rather than enemies will help."
Revenna smiled with a calm face which made Arthur burst out with laughter but he hid his true expression behind his laughter for he could see what she truly was. An ambitious woman hiding behind a gentle face to sharpen her claws.
" You bastards, who think you are!"
Suddenly he heard a commotion outside the door as Loki who was dressed bright orange suit entered with cuffs.
" That was Asgardian silk. Do you know how expensive they were?"
He angrily puffed at the guard, collecting his thoughts before he coughed. He calmly bowed to Revenna while looking at Arthur with a hint of surprise because he wasn't cuffed.
" Ah, you are one of them."
Ravenna rubbed her temple with stress, not hiding her disgust toward Loki who was standing before her.
" What do you mean by that, your honor?"
Loki forced a smile on his face, trying to slither out his way but Revenna wasn't having it.
" Among all variants, your kind ranks in the top 5 as the worst, Loki the Trickster. Tell me one reason why I should spare you."
She said with a cold tone, looking like an executioner to Loki who was sweating bullets.
