"It's much better now." Gu Qingxin's lips curled up, and she peacefully closed her eyes.
Upon returning to North Garden, Aunt Zhou was startled to see Beiming Han carrying Gu Qingxin back, and asked nervously, "What happened to the young lady?"
"It's nothing. Prepare a more sumptuous dinner tonight, make more of Xin'er's favorite dishes," Beiming Han instructed.
"Yes, I'll prepare it right away." Aunt Zhou answered and hurried to the kitchen.
Back in the bedroom, Beiming Han laid Gu Qingxin on the bed, took off her shoes, pulled up the blanket to cover her, "Sleep for a while, I'll stay here with you."
"Sleep with me, if you don't hold me, I can't fall asleep." Gu Qingxin tightly gripped his hand.
"Okay." Beiming Han unhesitatingly took off his jacket and shoes, lay down on the bed, and held her in his arms.
Gu Qingxin pressed her face against his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, and fell asleep shortly thereafter.
