When Mu Beiting returned home, Ye Anxin happened to have just coaxed Xiao Bai to sleep and was walking out of his room.
Seeing Mu Beiting, Ye Anxin quickly squinted her eyes, ran over with a beaming smile, linked her arm through his, and said cheerfully, "Uncle, you're back? I thought you were coming back tomorrow!"
Mu Beiting gently touched Ye Anxin's fair and soft face, and said sincerely, "I missed you!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin blushed, lowered her head, and said shyly, "Since when did you learn to speak such sweet words!"
Mu Beiting put on a serious face and said earnestly, "I never speak sweet words!"
The more serious Mu Beiting was, the more Ye Anxin's little heart pounded like a deer, almost as if it would jump out of her throat.
Looking at her shy expression, Mu Beiting suddenly stretched out his arm, pulled her into his embrace, gently stroked her smooth long hair with his large hand, and said softly, "Anxin, have you ever blamed your father?"
